This article, dated December 8. 1998, reports on a grand reopening of a theater in Hollywood, California, where Cecil B. deMille's film "The Ten Commandments" was being shown.

It is the earliest reference to someone with one of Kaz's names I could find.

Kaz DeMille, the famous director's granddaughter who flew in from Europe for the event, was aglow with nostalgia. "It brings back a part of old Hollywood," she gushed to indieWIRE, "and reminds me of when I was a little girl.

So, someone was using this name (and this relationship to Cecil B. deMille) as far back as late 1998. According to the deMille family, there is nobody in the family who goes by the name Kaz.

Dr. Kaz Demille Jacobsen, who produced many movies and TV shows, won three AME awards, served in a minister in the New Zealand government, worked with UN for many years, found two non profit organization, of which one of them has subsidiary organizations also spoke on this occasion. Dr. K. Jacobsen was one of the only two survivals of 9/11 at North Tower. She was in her office located on 9th floor of the North tower when the plane hit the building. She lost four clients and 17 staff members as well colleagues. Dr. K. Jacobsen expressed satisfaction of what the two Ministers and Dr. Rhee presented on that day. She praised the Somaliland people for their hard work, adding that they will be rewarded sooner for what they deserve.

I was at a meeting with my business partners and eighteen staff and four clients high in the North Tower . Enjoying the clearness of the early morning out over Manhattan. I, along with my assistant Anna left just prior to the plane slamming into our building. There were eight people who were trapped in the Elevator nearest to impact. We knew that it was a bomb or something very serious had just happened that stopped our elevator as we could hear the extremely loud noises and smell smoke and fuel as all our lights went out and our elevators stopped. Some of the men climbed up on to the roof through the manhole to see how we could escape. Five people around us died as huge explosions blow metal like paper and fire raged. Three of us managed to escape through a huge hole that was blown in the elevator wall and via a ladder on inside of the elevator shaft. We climbed down with our injuries and through a small opening into a landing. Eventually we reached the main stairwell. People were injured and very afraid. There were people pushing and trying to get out. No order was present as they panicked and tried to save themselves. I saw things on this day that shall stay in my mind and heart forever. By the Mercy and help of God we escaped only seconds before the building fell. Prior to September 11th I had been a successful business woman and after my life is dramaticall changed. I know God was there on that day for me and others. Miracles did happen . God was there for so many along with the brave firemen, medics, civilians and did save my life and many others. We were graced by a living God who heard our cries and saved us Psalms 18 1-7. Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? In every way my life has changed. I value life and the source of where it come so much more. I value what is really valuable "All the things that money can not buy" What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? Never forget what happened this day. Never go back to your comfortable arena's. Please do not place a building on ground zero. For me it represents the place where my partners and beloved staff are and no one should place a building over them. Put a memorial wall with beautiful gardens with water running were people can come and feel. Were there can come and say goodbye. Have some peace and closure. Introduction to Dr. Kaz deMille-Jacobsen Most are familiar with the events of 9/11 on the World Trade Center in NYC. However., few living people are as intimately acquainted with that fateful day as Jacobsen is. On the morning of 9/11 at approximately 7:45 am Dr. Jacobsen, her business partner, four clients and eighteen staff members finished a breakfast at the "Windows of the World" the scenic restaurant on the 106th floor and adjourned to the scheduled meeting in a conference room at the 101st level. The meeting and breakfast had been arranged to hand over the current project to her business partner and introduce him to the clients and staff. Dr. Jacobsen had come back from California where she had been having treatment for a serious blood disorder. She returned to New York to hand over the oversight of her projects to her business partner who had just arrived from Canada. She had planned to take twelve months leave of absence and had scheduled to return to Los Angeles on the 26th of September. Just moments before the plane slammed into the North Tower, Jacobsen's assistant Anna insisted that Jacobsen abandon her coffee in order to keep another appointment for 9:30 am in "Brooklyn. Anna's abrupt insistence save both their lives because the conference room that they were in was in the direct line of impact by American Airlines Flight 11 as it plunged into the World Trade Center at approximately 8:30 am. Dr. Jacobsen and Anna had entered the elevator at Cantor Fitzgerald, Kidder Peabody's level 101 and had just begun their decent when there was a thunderous noise like a huge explosion followed by the elevator jerking to a halt between the 96-94th floors. The smell of jet fuel and smoke and a further horrendous noise sent a clear message to all captives. Jacobsen and the other seven people were trapped. Five would choose to climb up through the manhole to reach an interior ladder. These five would lose their lives within minutes and the remaining three miraculously survived. The subsequent story of Dr. Jacobsen's traumatic and courageous escape from the towering inferno is indeed miraculous. To hear about the things that she witnessed and endured renders the listener into a heart wrenched silence. The miraculous healings of life threatening multiple injuries sustained, trauma and shock induced state of unconsciousness, in which she died, went to heaven, received a great anointing and was sent back with a message from God to all mankind is absolutely riveting. Dr. Jacobsen's being alive is no less an act of God, an intervention so powerful that no man has another explanation of any substance to compare. During the months of hospitalization and subsequent recovery she was sharing her story to one and all and witnessed fIrst hand the life changing affects on Loyal Christians, imitation Christians, devotees of different faiths, non believers, agnostic and atheist alike. Through faith and experience she continues to witness the ongoing power of God's Grace not only in her life but also in the lives of others. After hearing her speak, the results in the hearts of the people has been likened by many to the zeal of the early disciples as recorded in the Bible. I have yet to be able to confirm whether or not the article was actually published, as the man who wrote it no longer works for the newspaper.

My assumption at this point is that it actually was published. I would be interested to know what sort of "fact checking" the writer did on the article, but I have been unable to contact him. I have "X'd out" a phone number and email address at the end of the article.

CIVIC CENTER -Kaz Jacobsen is living proof that miracles do happen. Two years ago this week. Jacobsen was at work on the 94th floor of the ,World Trade Center's north tower when a hijacked commercial jet rammed into the skyscraper. "It sounded like waves crashing on a beach," the former Burbank resident recalled Thursday morning, following the city's Patriot Day ceremony in front of Police and Fire headquarters. You could smell the fuel." An explosion rocked the building. Fire broke out. Jacobsen suffered third-degree burns over parts of her XX-year-old body. The strap of her shoulder bag was "fused to my skin." Her throat was cut from ear to ear and a piece of steel embedded in her skull. Her wiIl to survive superceded any physical discomfort. She stopped to help a young man, whose hand had been blown off, applying a tourniquet to his damaged limb to stop the bleeding. She retrieved the hand and put it in her bag. Eight people, including Jacobsen, made their way to an elevator that wasn't going anywhere. Trapped inside, five people tried to escape through a manhole in the ceiling. A subsequent explosion blew them to pieces. Body parts rained down inside the elevator, she said. Jacobsen and the two others managed to squeeze out of the elevator through a small opening in the wall, seconds before it plummeted 94 floors: She and the others walked down stairs to the XXth floor, where rescue personnel greeted them. Along the way, she witnessed unspeakable acts of desperation. PeopIe pushing and shoving, even biting one another to get ahead. A young woman, Jacobsen recounted, was thrown over a stairway railing by her ponytail and fell to her death. .'Horrific behavior," she said. You can't even imagine… You can't get it out of your mind." Amid the chaos, a woman began to sing "Amazing Grace." People, Jacobsen among them, prayed. Jacobsen, a sociologist and producer who founded two worldwide youth organizations, was hospitalized for 20 months. She continues to receive treatment for her injuries at UCLA Medical Center. She was invited to attend Thursday's ceremony at the request of Burbank Mayor Stacey Murphy, a friend. "This was incredibly emotional for me, " Jacobsen said of the ceremony; "There's not a day goes by that I don't think. 'What if?" Today. Jacobsen's life barely resembles the one she was living .on Sept.l1. 2001. She left a lucrative career for a life of ministry. She sold her homes and possessions, paid off all her debts, and gave the families of co-workers killed in the attack an undisclosed sum of money. Her 27 -year-old assistant and two longtime business partners were among those killed. "You never know when your time is up," she said. "I should have died, but it wasn't my time." It might be instructive if the image could be examined to determine:

• Is it an actual view from the North Tower?

• Are the buildings in the image as they were on that morning?

• Is the angle of the shadows what it should be for the date and time (prior to 8:46am, September 11th, 2001)?

• Is it an image which could have been "borrowed" from, say, a web site?

Unfortunately, the image is of such poor quality that such details are hard to make out.

The Jesse Lee Peterson Show is a daily one-hour webcast, recorded in the Los Angeles area, and hosted by the Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson. The show explores a variety of topics, mostly political and religious in nature.

On September 2nd, 2004, the show's webcast was titled "Dr. Kaz deMille Jacobsen - 9/11 Survivor Miracle."

In that episode of the show, the Reverend Peterson interviews Kaz for about an hour.

I found the episode during a web search I did on Sunday, 9/5/2004, downloaded it and listened to it.

The next day, I called the offices of the Reverend Peterson, and he was gracious enough to return that call. We spoke for some time, during which I expressed my doubts as to the validity of Kaz's story, and gave him the web address of this site.

He said that I was not the first person to call and express this opinion, and that he would check out the site. He seemed to be open to the evidence, but said "If she is a fraud, she's a very good one."

I have emailed and left phone messages for the Reverend since then, but have gotten no replies. Whether this is because he still believes Kaz's story, or doesn't, or is simply too busy, I do not know.

I recently received an email from a Christian gentleman who has also been investigating Kaz's claims. The following is a quote from a writeup he had put together on his findings (emphasis mine):

She appeared on a local Los Angeles radio program, "The Jesse Lee Peterson Show" on 9/2/2004. I called the program and the director told me that she had approached the show through the church he attends. Her story and testimony was so impressive, she was invited on the radio show. Her show brought numerous phone calls from listeners who either had concerns over her testimony and/or direct confrontations disputing her statements. She was offered to come back on the show to address these issues, but declined. I asked if there was a way to contact her, and was told she never provided a way of contacting her (she had approached and contacted the show at her discretion).

On Sunday, October 24th, 2004, Kaz spoke at the services of King's Way Community Church in Lomita, California. The church evidently makes audio tapes of some or all of its services available, and someone was kind enough to send me a tape of this particular service.

Below is a transcript of portions of that tape, along wth my comments. Note that all bolded emphasis within the transcript is mine, to highlight the portion of the transcript I comment on afterwards.

After some singing and prayer, Kaz is introduced, and starts her presentation. Almost immediately, she discusses me, and this web site:

"I have been under incredible fire, incredible criticism. I have a web site erected against me. I have critics following me. And, uh, some of those critics are here today, and I would like to say this to you, from the word, and Robert Lancaster, you have never ever come to me and asked me one question."

This is true - I have never seen Kaz in person. Since there does not seem to be a published schedule of her appearances, and I usually only hear about them after the fact, this is problematic. (Kaz., if you want to let me know your speaking schedule, I will quite likely come to see you speak. See this site's Contact page for my email address and U.S. postal address. The ball is in your court.)

It should also be noted that, while she criticizes my questions here, she does not answer them.

She continues…

"And yet you seem to write on your website more about my life than I know myself. And I'd like to turn the bible to Matthew.... and I'd like to turn to Matthew 5... and I'd like to quote the words of Jesus... because the only one I want to please is Jesus Christ. The only one I'm saved for to be here today is Jesus Christ. And I really don't care what people write about me, because they wrote worse about Jesus."

It is interesting to note that when a con artist is running a "Christian" scam (eg., Jim & Tammy Faye Baker), when the scam is pointed out, the con artist immediately compares themselves to Jesus, and compares their critics to those who persecuted Jesus. It is a sure-fire way to get a congregation on their side, and does nothing to answer the criticism.

She continues…

"And I don't care if you want to persecute me, but have the decency to come in front of my face and ask me questions. And ask me what you want to know. Don't misconstrue, and put up letters you say are written by me when they are not."

The only "letter" on the site which is (purportedly) from her is the "Email From Kaz". As I say on this site's Sources page, I have no proof that Kaz wrote the email. But I have the word of four members of a church where Kaz had spoken. These four members had also believed Kaz's story up until I showed them some of the things now on this site. They had shared the email with each other because they were impressed with her story. So they would have had no reason at that point to invent such a letter.

She continues…

"Do not quote things that I am saying, that I have not said. Because Jesus loves me. And he will validate me and he will vindicate me. So, if you'd like to leave now and embarrass yourself, you're welcome to do so."

Evidently, she thought that I was there, or was pretending to, for dramatic effect. Regardless, I was not there, nor to my knowledge, was anyone there that I know. But, had I been there, I would have declined her invitation to leave.

At this point in her presentation, Kaz reads a passage from the Bible about loving your enemies, and praying for those who persecute you.

She then continues…

"I will keep on loving you and praying for you that come against me. But this testimony is not my testimony, this is the testimony of a real, living God. And I don't come here for my own glory. I could go back into producing and get as many credits in the world as I want. I already have great credits, acknowledged by the world. But.... I'm here to give credit for Jesus."

Evidently to Kaz, "loving" someone includes saying to them "So, if you'd like to leave now and embarrass yourself, you're welcome to do so."

"...I'm here because Jesus brought me here. He opens the door. I have never gone to one person in the entire universe and said 'Listen, I've got something to say, please have me in your place.' I have never solicited to anyone, I have never taken a cent."

Never taken a cent? I have heard of contributions taken up for Kaz at various churches where she has spoken. In fact, just prior to her speaking on this day, someone (I could not tell on the tape if it was the pastor or an elder) said the following:

"We're not going to receive a formal offering for Dr. Kaz this morning, but we are going to make you... make it available for you to give to her ministry as you leave this morning. If you want to make a check out, make it out to King's Way Community Church, and we will make one check out for all of us."

No, she didn't take "a cent". I'll wager it was much more than that.

Shortly, Kaz took out an album she had brought to show the elders of the church. The album evidently contained what Kaz felt was proof of the validity of her claims. She called up Sue Ann White - a woman who knew Kaz - to help her "prove" something.

The following exchange took place, regarding a piece of paper in the album:

Kaz: This is a letter... is this a letter from the White House? Sue Ann: This is a letter from the White House, with the official seal on it. Kaz: Is it an original? Sue Ann: It's original. And then there's a brief note here and then it says "The president joins me in sending best wishes to you. Best wishes, Laura Bush." Kaz: And they lift me up in prayer and are grateful for my words, and so on, right? Sue Ann: And then they say "I love you for who you are." Kaz: Thank you very much. And the reason I brought this out is that there is constant, constant criticism that what I am going to tell you is not right. So I just wanted to show you one thing, from the president of this country, who DOES endorse me, and hold me up.

Well, without seeing the document (Kaz, feel free to mail me a copy. I will place it on this site.) it is difficult to comment, but here are a few observations:

1. She never actually reads the contents of the body of letter, even though it is "a brief note." Why not? If it is such a ringing "endorsement," why not read it aloud?
2. From what little was read, there is nothing that says that the Bush family even knows Kaz., let alone "endorses" her.
3. All that was read aloud seems very generic in nature, and in keeping with a polite, generic "form letter" reply that might be sent out to anyone who sent a letter of prayer and support to the President or the First Lady.
4. And this is all assuming that the letter is an actual letter from the White House, and not something else entirely.

Later in her presentation, Kaz says the following regarding herself and her purported (and unnamed) "business partners":

"We had primarily been involved in consultancy, and producing film, television and personal appearances for artists."

Again, she does not name any of those films, television shows, or artists. She continues…

"And so during those period of years - and I've had thirty-odd years in the industry - I have also founded two organizations. One of them is called Tinseltown International, and it is an organization to help financially disadvantaged young people."

She does not say if either of these organizations is the company she was "turning over" on' that day, but regardless of that…

I cannot find a reference to "Tinseltown International" on the web. Not one. There are some references to a "Tinseltown Incorporated," which seemed to be involved somehow in a lawsuit regarding their selling purses, wallets and such with "objectionable language" on them. I assume this is not the organization Kaz is talking about.

" The other organization is 1-800-BE-A-MENTOR, that has been around for a long time helping young people to get into the entertainment industry or to get into an equal opportunity career. And I have dedicated my life, all my life to working for young people."

I cannot find a reference to "1-800-BE-A-MENTOR" on the web. Not one. There are references to 1-877-BE-A-MENTOR. Does Kaz claim that this is her organization? If so, you'd think that she'd know its actual name. And the real organization's goals seem to be simple mentoring of a child, not "helping young people to get into the entertainment industry or to get into an equal opportunity career."

So again, she so far offers no proof of anything.

She continues with her "proof," showing some photographs. Kaz says of one picture:

"These are some of my Tinseltown kids, and as you can see, it actually says 'Tinseltown' against my t-shirt."

If she is implying that a photograph of a t-shirt constitutes proof of her ownership or founding of a company/organization, I would beg to disagree. Anyone with a few dollars can have anything printed up on a t-shirt.

Showing another photograph, she says:

"And you'll see on this one - this is actually a poster - and on this poster it says that this young man is performing at the Rainbow Room in New York, and my New York friends will know it's pretty hard to get in there, isn't it? You've got to be very good."

I can only assume she thought that this was "proof" of her claim to have represented many actors and musicians. But again, anyone can have a picture of a poster. It proves abosolutely nothing.

Ablut another photograph:

"This is in my music room... WAS my music room. And you'll see that on there, there are, there is an Academy Award, and you'll see there are three Grammys on the mantlepiece, can you see that? I just thought I'd show you some of these today. Thank you."

Again, this was an audio tape, so I have nothing to go by but her verbal description, but if it was simply a photograph of a room with those awards in it, such a picture wouldn't be hard to obtain - magazines such as People often show photographs of rooms inside celebrity homes. And yet again, Kaz neglects to mention what movies and records she supposedly won these awards for.

So still, she has offered no proof.

She then shows more pictures:

"These are some of the houses that I sold, and you'll see that actually is me in the picture. Thank you."

Anyone can have pictures of expensive houses, even with themselves standing in front of those houses (I have pictures of me standing in front of the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. That doesn't mean I own them). So still, no proof.

Later, she starts discussing her 9/11 claims…

"...I had gone to Windows On The World for breakfast. Contrary to what the web sites say, and unfortunately, when people put things up on a web site, it's near-impossible to take them off."

Yes, there's that pesky First Amendment, isn't there? But as Kaz must know if she has actually read this web site, I have stated that if she actually proves her claims to me - even most of them - I will take this site down, and put up an apology in its place.

So far, I have seen no proof. And from the sound of it, if what she showed to this church congregation is her idea of "proof," then she has none.

"And there are many things written and quoted there that are not quoted by me, and not written by me. So should you, after leaving here, go and check that web site. Please know that they were not written by me or condoned by me."

There are LOTS of quotes attributed to her on this site. If she saying that NONE of them were said or written by her, she is calling all of the people who supplied me with these quotes liars. And I don't buy that.

"I was not in my office in this building, I was a guest in this building. I went to breakfast with my partner and staff. And I was leaving to go to a meeting. We had hired a conference room on the 101 level of the North Tower to have a meeting because I was taking a year off."

Fair enough. Looking back on the sources I have, I see where I read into them that she claimed to own a business located in the tower, but she did not. I accept now that her story is that she did NOT own a business located in the tower, but instead owned a business which held a meeting there on 9/11. I still see no proof of it. But, correction noted.

Much later in the tape, after telling her 9/11 story, Kaz says the following:

"I believe in Jesus Christ, and I'm grateful that he believed in me. And I am grateful that when you turned on your TVs and you saw something that looked like a movie, that you weren't there. And I'm going to say this to... to Robert: You can write what you like, sir, about me, but I wish that everything that I read on your web site was not true. I wish that everything you said about me wasn't true. And I wish I didn't go through it. I wish for whatever time I could turn back the clock I wasn't there that day. So you go write that. But I say this to all of you: I was there that day, and I saw God's hand on my life. God is real. And Heaven is real."

Earlier, she says that the things on this site are not true. Here, she says that she "wishes they were not true." She is probably just misspeaking here, but it is still an interesting Freudian slip.

Later…

"My pastors - I have three pastors. My pastors I ask on a daily basis, 'Can I not do this job? Is there some way that I can ask God to let me off here? I just want to go back to making movies. I just want to go back to being a normal person.' And do you know what they say? 'Jesus was persecuted to the point they hung him on a cross. You will be persecuted, and you will be nailed to the same cross, and you will have the lashes on your back. But you go and tell this world that Jesus is real, and you saw him. And you go tell them that God is in Heaven and He's watching you.'"

Once again here she uses the ruse of equating herself to Jesus, to make her sympathetic in the congregation's eyes. But comparing having a website critical of her to being lashed and crucified? Not only is this self-aggrandizing, but I would think that to a Christian audience, this would be belittling what Jesus went through.

Later…

"I was interviewed by the Smithsonian Institute. The Smithsonian Institute do not put archives up into history that are not verified and checked out. And the one thing that they were gracious enough to write was 'I believe that miracles happened in this woman's life.'"

Is she talking about her entry into the Smithsonian Institution's September 11 Digital Archives (which she wrote herself)? If so: anyone can write anything and submit it there. It is a collection of thousands of people's stories, and the Smithsonian would not have time to "verify and check" them.

Later in the talk, Kaz says the following about other people who have stories about going to Heaven and talking with God…

"No one can look upon the eyes of God and live. So those people who come back and say to you 'Oh I was in heaven, and I talked to God, and I said this, and I said that', I would be inclined to say to them, 'Rubbish.'"

She then goes on to talk about how God speaks "telepathically." Then, only a few minutes later, she says, of her own purported conversation with God…

"Whilst I was in Heaven, He gave me some parables, and I want to share one of them with you. He showed me a mountain range of purple, and He said 'What do you see?' And I said 'I see a mountain range of purple.' (laughs) And he brought it closer and said 'What do you see?' And I said '(I) see a fields, fields of Irises, wild flowers.' …"

So, apparently, if Kaz heard her own story, she would be inclined to say "Rubbish."

And for once, I would be inclined to agree with her.

Kaz often claims to have been married to a "Roberto Andretti, from the famous car-racing family."

Here is a portion of a transcript of her speaking in front of a congregation:

I went on to marry... some years later I married Roberto Andretti, from the famous car-racing family, and I was married to him for 23 years. He was killed in 1989 in Monte Carlo, running tests for Ricardo Andretti, when he was practicing for the World Series Gran Prix. So I was left with seven children, and very little finance, because my husband had been spending most of his money on cars and I didn't know it.

Finding no mention of any "Roberto Andretti" in the racing world, on December 03, 2004, I sent a letter to Patty Reid, publicist for Mario Andretti. In that letter, I quoted the above passage, and asked if Mr. Andretti could please comment on it.

On December 09, 2004, I received an email reply from Ms. Reid. The text of that email is below:

Subject: Mario Andretti From: xxxxx@xxxxx.com Date: Thu, Dec 09, 2004 3:32 pm To: StopKaz@StopKaz.com Dear Mr. Lancaster, I received your letter, asking for clarification on a few things about the Mario Andretti family. I reviewed each of the following points with Mario Andretti and his response is below: 1) According to Mario Andretti, there is nobody by the name of Roberto Andretti or Ricardo Andretti in the Mario Andretti Family Tree. And there is not another Andretti racing family in this world, other than the Mario Andretti family. If there is anyone by the name Roberto Andretti or Ricardo Andretti living in this world, they are not related to Mario Andretti and are not connected to the famous car racing family. 2) It could possibly be true that Kaz was married to somebody named Roberto Andretti. But if so, he is not related to Mario Andretti and he was never a racer. 3) There were no racing fatalities in Monte Carlo in 1989. In fact, there have been no racing fatalities at Monte Carlo for more than 30 years. Furthermore, no one by the name of Roberto Andretti or Ricardo Andretti ever raced at Monte Carlo. So it is not true that someone named Roberto Andretti was killed in Monte Carlo racing cars. If someone by that named died, he did not die racing cars and did not die running tests at Monte Carlo. Kaz claims that her birth father is the famous actor Peter Lawford. She also claims that towards the end of his life, he stayed with her in Australia, where she baptized him.

The following is a quote from her April 18th, 2004 talk in fron of the congregation of the Bowles Community Church in Littleton, Colorado:

My father, Peter Lawford, came to the Lord in 1983, just prior to his death in 1990…. 1984. And that was a great joy to me because he came to stay with me in Australia, and I got to baptize him in the sea myself.

Finding no evidence of any of this, on December 04, 2004, I emailed James Spada, author of Lawford biography "Peter Lawford - The Man Who Kept The Secrets".

I asked Mr. Spada if he had heard of Kaz (in any of her various names) in the course of writing Lawford's biography, or of any illegitimate daughter of Lawford's. His reply came later that same day:

Dear Robert: I have no knowledge of this woman ever having known Peter Lawford. Neither her name nor Lawford's having an illegitimate daughter ever came up in the hundreds of interviews I conducted.

I wrote to Mr. Spada again on December 12, 2004, after hearing the claim about the supposed baptism in Australia. I asked Mr. Spada if he was aware of any such trip so late in Lawford's life. His reply came later that same day:

I'm not aware of a trip to Australia; he did make a movie in England in 1983. His widow wrote a memoir called "The Peter Lawford Story" and she makes no mention of a trip to Australia.

Kaz claims that Jesus has a "special name" for her - "Kazshari."

The following is a quote from her "testimony", a Microsoft Word document she emailed out in June of 2003:

He opened both arms and said, "Come Kazshari Izriah." That was the name only my nanny called me.

Searching the web for "kazshari," I found several pages on web sites devoted to house sitting, where she had evidently been offering her services as a house sitter.

Although many of the pages had expired (as had her membership in the board, evidently), I used the Google search engine's "cache" feature. This feature allows you to see snapshots of web pages which are in the search engine's index, but have been changed or removed since they were added to the search engine.

In this way, I found the profile she had filled out, advertising her sitting services.

As you read through it, ask yourself: Does this read like it was written by someone with a PhD?

I have added paragraph breaks to make it more readable.

Note that even though she now says that she never claimed to have an office in the tower, she specifically says so here (emphasis mine):

AT least two people who have discussed Kaz with me have received letters from an attorney, demanding that they "Seize (sic) and Desist" from "spreading damaging and defamatory statements" about her.

One of those people sent me a copy of the letter, which, quite frankly, did not sound as though it had been written by an actual attorney (one would hope that an attorney would know that the proper legal phrase is "Cease and Desist).

Here is the text of that letter (emphasis mine):

It was recently brought to my client's attention that you are spreading damaging defamatory statements regarding my client. These accusations are untrue and should be retracted as soon as possible. We request for you to seize and desist from participating in any defamatory statements or accusations against my client. If these statements and accusations are not seized, we will be forced to commence litigation against you. If you have any questions regarding the contents of this letter, please do not hesitate to contact my office. Very truly yours, (Attorney's name removed) Attorney at Law (signature) (Attorney's name removed) cc: Dr. Kaz DeMille Jacobsen

I called the phone number on the letter, which was indeed the phone number of a law firm. When I asked the woman who answered the phone if there was an attorney there by the name given on the letter, she said that he no longer worked there, but that yes, he was an attorney.

When I asked her if the firm had a client by the name of "Dr. Kaz deMille Jacobsen," she quite firmly replied that she (Kaz) was NOT a client of the firm, but was a client of the attorney named on the letter.

I called the new firm where the attorney now works and left voice mail, which was never returned.

A visitor to this site forwarded me an email which had been sent to them from Kaz in June of 2003.

Below is the text of that email, with Kaz's typical requests for help, including some rather odd remarks about rabbits she had with her, which she says that Jesus wanted her to keep (emphasis mine).

That is a little test of the Lords I guess. Remember what he told us about the hospitality of many he rewarded and the story of the neighbor who knock on the door to ask a favor?. I do not know why but that was his instruction and I just obey him in everything. After going through what I have and seeing and hearing what I have there is no questions asked. The Burbank Leader, an insert to the Los Angeles Times, ran an article on December 29, 2004 (by reporter Mark Madler) discussing some of the doubts surrounding Kaz and her stories.

Below is a quote from the article, in which it discusses the earlier article run in the Leader in 2003:

Jacobsen's survival story apparently duped even the audience of a city-sponsored event in September 2003, when she was recognized as a WTC survivor. She was subsequently profiled in The Leader. Burbank City Council- woman Stacey Murphy was described as a "friend" of Jacobsen's in the newspaper article, a relation she denied ever existed. "I met her once," Murphy said. "I am not her friend, and I don't like the way she does things." She was suspicious of Jacobsen's 9/11 story, Murphy said, adding that while Jacobsen did not directly ask for money, she hinted being given some would be helpful. "I was very offended," Murphy said. "There were lots of victims of 9/11 and for her to come out of the woodwork and claim what she does, just offends me."

As mentioned above, Kaz has said that her second husband, (the apparently-nonexistant) "Roberto Andretti", was killed while working for the (apparently non-existant) "Ricardo Andretti."

In another appearance (West Bowles Church, Littleton Colorado, April 18, 2004), she says that the driver which "Roberto" was working for was Riccardo Patrese - who definitely exists. Here is a quote from that appearance (emphasis mine):

"I went on to marry Roberto Andretti, and then had to contend with racing cars. So I traipsed around the world with him. He was a handsome Italian, so it was quite worth traipsing around the world behind him. I was really trying to keep the other women away, but he was a good man, and... How many racing car driving people have we got here? He actually was killed, he actually was um, killed, um, testing Riccardo Patrese's car in Monte Carlo. And I got left, totally unexpectedly, with very little finance."

On December 05, 2004, Doug Switz (a visitor to this site) asked about this, on the Riccardo Patrese Tribute Site:

There is a woman calling herself Kaz Demille Jacobson who said she was married for 23 to a Roberto Andretti (who supposed to be a part the well known Andretti racing family). She said her husband (Roberto) was killed testing your (Mr. Patese's) F1 car at Monte Carlo in 1989. I 've been a big racing fan all of my life, and well acquianted with F1 and the Andretti's, and have never heard of Roberto. I would very much like to know if this story is true or not. Thank you for any help you might be able to give me regarding this matter.

On December 19th, Riccardo Patrese himself responds (emphasis mine):

I know the F1 drivers who were at Monaco and a Roberto Andretti was never at Monaco. I know nothing about this story.

On January 8th and 9th of 2005, Kaz spoke to the congregation of Sydney Full Gospel Church, a Korean-language church in Sydney, Australia.

Luckily, the church videotapes some (or maybe all) of their services, and makes them available for viewing at their web site.

To view these recordings, go to the church's web site by clicking the image above. Once there, clicking on an image in the lower left of the page (it currently has a picture of Kaz, but this varies) will display another page where various sermons/presentations are listed.

Although most are in Korean, two of them (currently items 33 and 34) have the words "Kaz Jacobsen", along with "Day_1" and "Day_2".

Clicking on either of these two entries displays a page where the selected video will be presented. It is a nice set up, and the streaming video worked very well for me.

In Day_1, Kaz tells her story up until the point where she claims to have died.

In Day_2 , she tells the rest of her story.

Every few sentences, she stops while the gentleman standing beside her translates for those in the congregation who only speak Korean.

A few moments into the Day 2 presentation, Kaz starts talking, once again, about me and this web site (by the way, I believe that she is speaking in short, simple sentences in order to make the translator's job easier):

"When somebody is out to save souls for Jesus Christ, you can guarantee the angel of light - Satan - is right behind, if not trying to be in front. And, like most people, and a lot of people who have gone out there to speak on God's behalf, with a total sincere heart, they come upon a lot of persecution. And I'm no different than any body else. Something happened here last night that I feel has to be addressed."

She never says "what happened," but from what comes next, I assume that someone mentioned this web site to her.

She continues...

"There is a web site against me, to stop me. This web site was put together by an atheist."

No. From the day this site first opened up, I have stated on this site's FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page that I am an agnostic. There is a difference, Kaz. But by calling me an "atheist" in front of a crowd of Christians, she is trying to make me seem like The Bad Guy. And, having prefaced it by saying that "the angel of light - Satan" tries to stop anyone who is out to save souls, she tries to associate me with Satan. How nice of her.

She continues...

"The person who put the web site together has never spoken to me."

Yes, and as I mention earlier on this page, this is because she purposefully makes herself difficult to contact.

Her attorney (of the "Seize and Desist" letter) never returned my calls. She has no phone number, since she moves from place to place, living with whatever person will donate some living space to her.

The ministers I have asked for her number have all said that they never had a number for her, that she called them. She has no web site (and why is that? You would think that someone with an inspiring story to share with the world would have a web site where they could publicize their upcoming speaking engagements).

Regardless, Kaz does not want people to contact her. If she wants to talk to someone, she contacts them. I have heard this from ministers, journalists and others. You don't call Kaz. Kaz calls you.

So Kaz., if you're reading this, send me an email. I'd love to talk to you - with witnesses present.

She continues...

"His mother came to hear me speak at a church, and, I believe, was saved."

After I stopped laughing at that one, I got on the phone to my mother. I knew she had been a Christian before Kaz was even born...

After our hellos and how-are-you's, the conversation went something like this:

Me: Mom, when did you become a Christian? Mom: When I was seventeen. Why? Me: Because Kaz thinks you were "saved" when you saw her speak. Mom: Oh, she does, does she? Me: Yup. (I describe what Kaz had said) Mom: Well, you put this on the web site: You tell her that I was taking you and your brother and sisters to church when you were all tiny, and I taught the Sunday school. And I don't think Kaz had a thing to do with it.

Yes, ma'am!

"So he felt that if he could prove that I was false, that he would prove his point to his mother, and to every body else."

By having said that she thinks she "saved" my mother, she is insinuating here that I set out to talk my mother out of being a Christian, and this is definitely not true.

And if anyone is curious, my mother is:

• Fully convinced that Kaz is a fraud, and
• Still a church-going, bible-reading Christian.

From surviving rhe September 11 attacks to winning a stack of Oscars, Kaz DeMille-Jacobsen - who claims to have lived in New Zealand and is understood to hold New Zealand citizenship - has made a living peddling tall tales ranging from the astonishing to the absurd. She has claimed to have been a New Zealand cabinet minister, a multi-Oscar and Grammy winner and a relative of the late film director Cecil B. DeMille. But it is her supposed encounter with God after her "miraculous escape" from the Twin Towers that has seen her emerge as a sort of spiritual guru. Last night she was in Sydney where she spoke to a church congregation about her so-called 9/11 experience. She does not charge a fee, but accepts dona- "The smaller the church, the more likely they are to fall for her. She knows what she's doing." - ROBERT LANCASTER tions, living off the generosity of those who have heard her. So, who is this woman - and can anything she says be believed? The real DeMille family has taken legal action against Jacobsen, and hired a private investigator to establish her true identity. "She's a fruitcake, a real piece of work," said Cecilia DeMille Presley, DeMille's real grand-daughter. She was amazed at some of the claims Jacobsen had made, such as that the Queen of England stayed with her family and that she had been a spiritual adviser to three US preseidents. The DeMilles are not the only ones worried. Robert Lancaster, a Californian computer programmer, has set up a website - www.stopkaz.com - dedicated to exposing Jacobsen. "The only way we can stop this woman is to expose her, to get the word out," said Mr. Lancaster, who has alerted the FBI. Mr. Lancaster became skeptical about Jacobsen after his mother told him about an "amazing woman" who spoke at their church. "Even before I heard some of the wilder parts of her story, I found it extremely hard to believe." Mr. Lancaster is convinced her tales are more fantasy than fact. "The smaller the church, the more likely they are to fall for her. She knows what she is doing." The Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson, who asked Jacobsen to appear on his American radio show after hearing her speak at his church, said that while Jacobsen claimed to be a pauper, having given away her $170 million fortune at God's behest, she was well-presented and believable. "I've had some weird people come through (the show), but no one quite so convincing." During the hour-long radio interview, DeMille-Jacobsen spoke about her experience in the north tower of New York's Twin Towers, where a hijacked plane flew into the building. She was pronounced clinically dead, she said, during which time she went to heaven and met "the Lord", whom Jacobsen says she now works for fulltime. In the elevator on the 98th floor at the time of the attacks, DeMille-Jacobsen tells of having her throat slashed from ear-to-ear and her skull pierced by a steel spike. Like all her tales, the story is detailed enough to be believable, but vague enough to be difficult to prove wrong. But hard evidence of her being in New York at the time cannot be found. Photos Jacobsen claimed to be her in hospital showed a woman so "beat up" and bandaged Reverend Peterson could not tell if it was her. "She claimed to have scars, but I never did see them. At this point I don't know what to think," said Reverend Peterson, who said he did not feel it was appropriate to question her claims at the time. Attempts by the Herald On Sunday to contact Jacobsen have been unsuccessful. Phone calls to her lawyer and churches believed to be associated with her have not been returned. Proving citizenship is difficult because she appears to use a number of pseudonyms. She does not give out contact details, offering her services to churches when she wishes, and when pressed for details about her "I'm on the fence. She's an interesting person. She seemed sincere. If she's a fraud, she's really going overboard." - NORI HARAOKE story, she declines to answer for personal reasons. "She has it down to an art. She seems to know exactly how to stay off of everyone's radar" Mr. Lancaster said. Her story of heroic escape and resurrection is not the only one raising eyebrows. But despite apparent gaping flaws in her life story, it seems there are many still willing to believe. "I'm on the fence. She's an interesting person. She seemed sincere,: said Nori Haraoke, pastor of King's Way Community Church in Lomita, California, where Jacobsen spoke in October. He was impressed by her passion and knowledge of biblical scriptures, and said her claims would be difficult to disprove. " If she's a fraud, she's really going overboard."

Tour cancelled Self-proclaimed New Zealand citizen Kaz deMille-Jacobsen, the woman who had been telling of her miraculous escape and resurrection after the September 11 terror attacks, has cancelled speaking engagements in New Zealand this week. The Herald on Sunday revealed her lies last week.

Neil Saavedra is a lay Christian apologist (a "defender of the faith") and the producer/host of "The Jesus Christ Show", broadcast on radio station KFI (AM 640) in Los Angeles every Sunday morning.

At the beginning of the eight o'clock hour of the January 16th, 2005 show, the topic was "False teachers in the church."

The main focus was on Kaz.

This web site was mentioned multiple times, and listeners were urged to check it out. At one point, talking about the site (and me), the host says:

...and you could say "You know what? The person's not a Christian, they don't believe in this, therefor they're just trying to tear down." No. If anything, they're protecting you. They're protecting you.

At the very end of the segment:

Be careful who you let in your church. Be careful. I don't care if they're standing behind the pulpit of a church today. Even if you respect the pastor, you check them out for yourself. You don't take things for face value. Your pastor can be wrong. Your church can be wrong. And I'm just absolutely disgusted that people like this enter churches and spew their garbage, and it takes the world to point it to you. Corinthians says "Judge yourself, and you won't be judged by others." You know why somebody outside the fold had to do this? Because you are not doing it yourself.

The Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (FGBMFI) is "a Fellowship for men who would meet in small and large groups in cafes, hotels and public places to fellowship and minister spiritually one to another."

On July 10th, 2004, the Burbank chapter of the organization held a breakfast meeting in a dining area of a Ramada Inn in Burbank.

Their guest speaker: Kaz.

The presentation was videotaped, and I have been given a copy of that video. The image above is from that video (my apologies for the image quality. I have no video capture abilities, and so the image is a photograph of the video playing on a television set.)

At 11:15:05 by the video's clock, Kaz begins the following (emphasis mine):

"I was invited by Judge Moore to go and open a memorial for the ten commandments in Columbine, where all the kids were killed at Columbine, and had a great reunion with those young people because a lot of them needed to know there was a heaven. I had one little girl who ran from the back, and she was Rachel's sister. Rachel was one of the girls who had a gun to her head and said 'Do you believe in God?' and she said 'Yes I do, I believe in Jesus Christ' and they shot her. And her little sister has been 'gone within' with grief. She's just twelve, and she never expressed the grief. And she has hardly spoken, lost a lot of weight, and they were very concerned about her. And I was up actually speaking about heaven, and what heaven is, and this little girl ran from the back of the West Bowles Church, up onto the stage and grabbed me around the waist, and she said 'Does Jesus know my sister?' I said 'Jesus holds your sister.' And she said 'Does Jesus hold me and know me?' I said 'Jesus does know you. Would you like to make sure he knows you?' And I went through the Sinner's Prayer, on stage, in front of fifteen thousand people, and there was not a dry eye in that house as that child came to the Lord. And that's another miracle. Another miracle of His grace and His mercy and His compassion. I saw sixteen hundred people at one go at West Bowles Church stand and come to the Lord."

Kaz had spoken at West Bowles Church in Littleton, Colorado, on April 18th, 2004 (though whether she had been invited by Judge Moore, I do not know). I have a CD containing the audio of her presentation that day.

As far as can be heard on the CD, at no time does any young girl come up to talk to her.

But perhaps she spoke there more than once, and this little girl approached her during another presentation. So, let's look a little deeper.

Checking a list of the Columbine victims shows that there was one victim named Rachel - Rachel Joy Scott.

But did Rachel have a younger sister? Not according to her parents.

From Page 40 of the book "Rachel's Tears: The Spiritual Journey of Columbine Martyr Rachel Scott", written by Rachel's parents Darrell Scott and Beth Nimmo (emphasis mine):

"As the middle of five children, rather than be the forgotten child, Rachel used that position to her advantage and was quite independent. She did not exactly fit in with her older sisters, Bethanee and Dana, or her younger brothers, Craig and Michael. By the time Rachel was three years old, she already had two baby brothers. Actually, she was pushed out of her babyhood very quickly."

Rachel was 17 years old at the time of her death (1999). Her youngest sibling - a brother - was around 15 or 16 years old at the time, making him around 20 or 21 years old at the time Kaz spoke at the West Bowles Church in 2004.

Could Kaz have misspoken the slain girl's name? She said "Rachel", but perhaps meant something else?

There was another girl who died at Columbine, who also is said to have been shot after proclaiming her belief in God. Her name is Cassie Bernall, and she attended West Bowles Church (I do not know if Rachel Joy Scott did).

Did Cassie have a younger sister?

All references to the Bernall family I have found mention only two children: Cassie, and a brother Chris.

From page 3 of the book "She Said Yes : The Unlikely Martyrdom of Cassie Bernall", written by Cassie's mother, Misty Bernall (emphasis mine):

April 20, 1999, started like any other school day in our house. At five forty-five Brad, my husband, left for work, and a little later I got up to wake the kids. Getting teenagers out of bed is always a small battle, but that Tuesday was especially difficult. Cassie had stayed up late the night before catching up on homework, and her books were all over the kitchen table. ... About seven-twenty Chris kissed me goodbye, or at least gave me his cheek, which is what it's gone to lately (he's fifteen) and clattered down the stairs and out of the house.

So again, no younger sister, only a younger brother who would be around 20 years old when Kaz spoke at West Bowles Church.

I will continue to investigate this claim of Kaz's, but as it stands now, it looks to me as though she decided to exploit yet another American tragedy - the Columbine massacre - by making up a story about it to try and make herself look good.

I spoke on the phone with a member of the West Bowles Community Church (WBCC) regarding the statements Kaz made about her appearance there. (See above)

After introducing myself and expressing my doubts about Kaz's claims, I read to him the quote above, where Kaz talks to the gathering in Burbank about her appearance at WBCC.

He was present when Kaz gave her presentation at WBCC, and said the following things during our conversation:

• When Kaz spoke at WBCC, she was invited by the church, not by Judge Moore, as she claims.
• The church only holds 1,200 people, and he believes that there were perhaps 800 people in attendance when Kaz spoke there. Not the 15,000 she claims. Not even the 1,600 she claims "came to the Lord" at that time.
• To his recollection, no young girl approached Kaz during her presentation.
• The family of Rachel Joy Scott are not members of WBCC, and to his knowledge, were not there when Kaz spoke.
• He confirmed that Cassie Bernall had only one sibling, her brother Chris, who would have been around 20 years old when Kaz spoke at WBCC.
• He expressed concern over what I had told him, and requested that I send him a copy of the videotape for the pastors of the church to review.

I have sent him a DVD copy of the tape. He said that the church pastors would review it, and determine what, if anything, should be done.

Some people with whom Kaz stayed for several months back in 2003 found the following document on their computer after she left.

The first question that occurred to me when I saw it was "why yet another variation on her name?"

The second question that occurred to me: "If God told her she was to work full-time for Him from now on, why did she need a resumé?"

When Kaz gives her presentation, she usually talks about the "Tinseltown International Foundation," a philanthropic organization for helping "talented but underprivileged youth."

I have so far found no evidence that this organization - which she claims is in "47 different countries" and has "millions of members" - even exists.

There are no records of it on any of the governmental web sites devoted to listing charitable organizations, including that of the IRS.

Frequently when she talks about Tinseltown, she shows the above picture of a young singer, as an example of a Tinseltown "success story." She includes it as a slide in her slide presentation, or has a picture of him mounted on a posterboard.

The above image of the slide is taken from the streaming video of her Sydney Full Gospel - Day 1 appearance, at 23 minutes 17 seconds into the presentation. The slide is of a poster, which reads:

THE JACOBSON - DeMILLE ORGANIZATION the names behind the stars is proud to present [singer's name] A TOUCH OF CLASS Appearing at: The Rainbow Room in a Gala Performance May 11th, 1997. [singer's name] starts at 9:00PM sharp.

NOTE: some of the above text is too small to read in the streaming video, and was obtained from a close-up of the poster within the video of her Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship Group presentation, where the poster was on a board behind her while she spoke.

Superimposed over the poster on the slide is:

Tinseltown Intremational and Be A Mentor programs have launched and supported many now successful Artists.

Yes, "Intremational."

During her Sydney Full Gospel appearance, she said the following while the slide was being shown:

"This young man, I don’t know whether you might know, but, um, he also sang the successful bid for the Olympics here. He sang the, the theme song for Sydney. ... The reason I went back to, um, New York is that I wanted to, um, take over for the Tinseltown structure and restructure it. So I actually took this young man from Sydney with me. He was written up in 27 papers with rave reviews. They called him 'The Thunder From Down Under.'"

From what I have read, Kaz has bragged to people that she was actually paid a lot of money ("thousands of dollars") by this young singer's parents in Australia to take him with her to America, where she promised she would get him a lucrative recording contract. They apparently did this based on her claims of industry connections.

Some three years later, his parents evidently regretted that decision, and started looking for someone else to represent him.

I have a copy of a "Cease and Desist" letter (this time spelled correctly) dated September 8, 1999, which Kaz had sent to the singer's parents, in which she threatens legal action if they do not stop trying to find other representation for him, claiming that he is signed to Kaz until 2005.

This does not match with Kaz's claim that she was representing him as part of a philanthropic foundation for "talented but underprivileged youth." Instead, it appears as though she was doing this for cash.

At the same time, Kaz sent a similar "Cease & Desist" letter to a theatrical agent in Australia with whom the singer's parents had discussed their son. Here is a quote from that "Cease & Desist" letter:

"Mr. and Mrs. [singer's last name] then, allegedly, invited you and Mr. [name] to dinner where you, allegedly, accused Ms. DeMille of making a fool of herself with [another name] at the A.S.C.A.P. awards, having a 'bad reputation' in the industry in both Australia and the United States, that the record industry did not even know who Kaz DeMille was, and that [singer's name] will not make it at all while he is in Ms. DeMille’s care."

So, was that theatrical agent correct? What sort of a job did Kaz do for this singer? The slide states (or at least implies) that he is a "successful Artist." Is he?

I have read statements by, and spoken with people who have heard him sing. By all accounts, he is a talented singer. But so far, he does not seem to have become successful, at least not commercially.

I have read accounts of him living with Kaz in various apartments in both the New York and Los Angeles areas during the late 1990's, even as late as mid-2000.

Searching the web for references to him, I find a couple of brief blurbs mentioning him appearing in New York cabarets in 1997 and a San Francisco cabaret in 2001. The most recent reference to him appears to be a Yahoo message from 2003, in which he is advertising his services as a private vocal coach back in Melbourne, Australia.

I have also seen indications that he and his partner moved to Toronto, Canada some time in 2004. Where he is now, I do not know.

So:

• "Tinseltown International" appears not to exist.
• The singer was not an "underprivileged youth" that Kaz benevolently took under her wing, but was instead paid to do so.
• The singer, used now by Kaz as a shining example of "a Tinseltown success", appears to be back career-wise where he was before he met Kaz - a struggling, unknown artist.

From all I have gathered, it seems as though the singer is just another victim of Kaz's stories, before she even started telling her 9/11 story.

If anyone knows how to get in touch with him, I would be glad to post his opinion here about Kaz., pro or con.

Another document Kaz left behind after staying at another home was this six-page, hand-written note.

There are accusations in the note which I can neither prove nor disprove, but it shows that there were people convinced Kaz was a fraud even before she started her whole "9/11" story.

From the contents, I assume it was written mid-2000.

[Page 1] Kaz, You paid me $40 to pick up your friend. he was picked up. The sweetener I gave you was $8.50 40 -850 ------ $31.50 You would have paid $40 for a taxi. Think of yourself as ahead. Since I mistakenly referred you to the Bld. I have heard nothing but complaints from everyone. Here's a list… [Page 2] George & I, who have been friends for 4 years, no longer speak. Everyone that knows you thinks you’re a Fake, I was the only one that believed you. You have been Feloniously writing letters to your neighbors Claiming to be Linder & assoc.

There are several Linder & Associates listed on the web, but Ken Linder & Associates, a talent agency in Hollywood, seems the most likely.

The Writters [sic] guild called me to ask if I knew you and if I heard of you Saying you co-wrote Sleepless in Seattle again, to tell the

A look at the Internet Movie Database page for the film shows that it was written by famous writer/director Nora Ephron (currently directing the movie Bewitched), along with David S. Ward and Jeff Arch.

[Page 3] Lawyers for Cecilia demille Called me asking your whereabouts. I have gotten 2 letters anonymously Saying that you and [singer's name] have Fake Social Security #'s Belonging to people Born in the 30's in Pennsylvania.

The singer is discussed above. He and Kaz lived together in a number of hotels and apartment buildings, both in New York and Los Angeles/Hollywood.

I have another letter telling me about when you visited Charlton Heston backstage in New York [Page 4] he expected to see Cecilia and got The imposter (you) instead. Neighbors have said you yell at them for using The Barbeque. You are not the goddess of La Layenda, and I will no longer be your stooge.

Built in 1927, The La Leyenda Apartments have seen better days. Not the sort of place someone worth $127 million - as Kaz claims to have been before 9/11 - would live. Kaz and the singer lived there for a time ending in 2000.

I also think that you are very talented & you could use your energy for good rather than perpetrating this [Page 5] huge Fabrication of yours. Do not contact me! Any letters will be returned unopened. if you see me in the Street or anywhere please ignore me and I will do the same to you and [singer's name]. As of this writing (Mar 1, 2005), this is the earliest recording I have found of Kaz telling her story. It has several interesting variations from what the story was later to become. I hope to address these differences in more depth on the Claims page in the near future.

But there is something else on this tape which I am going to address now.

One thing which makes Kaz's stories hard to disprove is the fact that she very seldom gives names of people she talks about, and almost never gives their full name.

In this particular instance however, she does give one full name. It is within the part of her story where she claims to have come back from her visit to "the Heavenly Realm" with the supposed ability to speak, read and write ancient Hebrew and Aramaic:

"During that time I had an out-of-body experience. I really don't like to use that. I like to say that I died, and I went to heaven. I went to the most amazing place, and I still have full recollection of all of it."

In later versions of the story, she changes this "out-of-body experience" to being "clinically dead for 28 minutes."

She continues (emphasis mine):

"I came back to this earth after being given a commission that was very strong, speaking three languages I've never learned. I have since been in front of Theology… uh, professors, and professors of knowledge including two of Cardinal Mahoney's bishops at UCLA just a matter of weeks ago to diagnose whether this was in actual fact um… a language. And how that came about is I wrote a note with the language to a friend and said 'Do you have any idea what this is?' And she is a language professor at UCLA, and she wrote back, her name is Dr. [name*] and she wrote back and she said 'Where did you learn this?' So then she phoned me and she said 'Could you come over and see us?' I said 'Sure'. So I came over. She said 'Could you write that again?' There is indeed a Professor by the name Kaz gave, a Los Angeles-based Psychologist and author.

* NOTE: The professor has requested that I omit her name from this for the sake of privacy, but may be willing to communicate with someone regarding Kaz., depending on the reason. Email me (see this site's Contact page) if you wish to contact her, and I will relay your request to her.

I spoke with the professor on February 23, 2005, and during the course of that conversation and subsequent emails, learned the following:

• She is a Professor of Psychology, not of "language."
• She and her husband met Kaz through a housesitting web-service, and Kaz house-sat for them.
• The written and spoken communication between her and Kaz that Kaz describes above never happened.
• To her knowledge, Kaz does not speak, read, nor write Hebrew or Aramaic.
• To her knowledge, Kaz was not in New York on September 11th, 2001.
• Some of her acquaintance with Kaz was during the weeks and months directly after September 11th, 2001, when Kaz now says she was in her "leukemic coma".

More specifically...

• Kaz was scheduled to housesit for her and her husband while they went out of town starting on September 20th, 2001. Due to the events of September 11th, they cancelled the trip. They called and spoke with Kaz - in Southern California - to cancel her housesitting. Again, this was when Kaz claims to have been in a "leukemic coma".

So apparently, from her acquaintance with this professor, Kaz thought she could just toss her name into one of her stories, perhaps thinking an actual professor's name would add to the story's believability.

On the contrary, it provided something concrete which could be checked, and found to be false.

More than that, it led me to a person who can categorically state that Kaz's 9/11 story is a lie.

A visitor to this site, upon reading the recent update where Kaz is referred to with the last name "Lavell," found this on the web and notified me of it.

On a web page devoted to memorializing those who perished in the World Trade Center, someone - apparently Kaz, using another of her various names - added the following comment:

When Kaz lives with someone, she quite often uses their computer, and her documents frequently remain behind when she leaves.

I have received copies of many of these documents from various people she has lived with, and who now know Kaz to be a fraud, and so send these documents with me, to help me in exposing her.

One such document I recently received is a 23-page "autobiography."

Titled "A little Part of Me", it is dated January 2001, so it was evidently written before she added the World Trade Center story to the tales she tells. Even without it, it is still full of a "grandiose sense of self-importance" that is Kaz's hallmark.

Here is the introduction:

"It is hard for me to write in brief my life story. How does one condense so much into so little? However, I shall endeavor to give you some insight into my background to set the premise for a part of my life that many of my colleagues and friends fell should make a great movie. For many years I have been asked by a variety of top novelists and screenplay writers to give them the opportunity to write my entire life story. I know that I have a story that needs to be told but it needs to be done by the right people. Now I would like to share a small part of my life with you."

There are many differences between the life story she tells in this document, and the one she would later tell in front of churches.

For instance, her purported second husband is no longer "Roberto Andretti of the famous car-racing family," but is simply Robert, a Welshman who is "a district officer for the Conservation and Environment." And instead of dying in a race-car crash in Monte Carlo, he died of an accident at work.

Is this second version of her supposed "second husband" any truer than the first, or is it simply another of her fantasies? I don’t know, but I have been told that she only had one husband - now her ex-husband - and that he is alive and well.

One interesting part of this autobiography is her account of an industrial accident she claims she was involved in.

Nowadays, when Kaz tells her story in front of a congregation, she shows one or two photographs of her in a hospital room as "proof" of the wounds she claims to have sustained at the World Trade Center.

The first thing I noticed about these images is that Kaz appears to be much younger and thinner in them. In her presentations, she says that she is thinner in these images because they were taken after she awakened from a four-month-long coma. That would be easier to believe if her face did not look much younger as well.

So, why was she in the hospital?

I have spoken with a man who knew Kaz prior to September 11th, 2001, and who says that she showed him these same pictures back then. He says that she told him the hospital stay was a result of injuries she received in an industrial accident she had when she worked as a "rigger." I have also spoken with a couple of women who Kaz lived with in 2003, who said that she spoke of having worked as a rigger.

On a version of her resume (different from the ONE ABOVE), Kaz lists, during the years 1990-1993 "World Services and Construction Company. Ticketed Rigger, crane chaser, on home/off shore projects."

So, what is a "rigger" and a "crane chaser?"

They are two jobs in heavy construction, described below:

At one point, she describes an accident she had while stepping out of the cage of a crane, and onto a cherry picker (emphasis mine):

"…They abruptly moved the cage back about one foot. My right toe was balancing on the bridge. It started to slip free. I crabbed at the rail of the cherry picker, throwing my safety harness to try to find a grip somewhere. I knew right then I am going to fall and I could die. I fell and just a matter of feet from the ground my hook from the belt found a grip but not good enough to hold me. It was enough to soften the fall. I landed hard into cement mix sand. I had caught my chin hard on the pipe but had not felt the cut. It was ripped ear to ear under my chin. My teeth smashed. My shoulder blade was sticking out at right angles. I knew my ribs were broken also. … The next thing I remembered was waking up in the hospital with stitches every where."

Of course, the being cut "from ear to ear" is something she says now happened during her supposed escape from the World Trade Center, as is the "not feeling" the injury.

The following is a quote from her April 18th, 2004 talk in front of the congregation of the West Bowles Community Church in Littleton, Colorado:

" I had a piece of steel sticking 18 inches out of my skull, five eighths of an inch into the left lobe of my brain. And it should have killed me on impact. My throat was cut under my chin from ear to ear. This part of my throat was holding open, and I had a sliver into the larynx. I had no idea I had any injuries."

So again, why is she in the hospital in the pictures above?

The pictures were seen prior to September 11th, 2001, so her claims that they were from her supposed injuries then are false. So was she in the hospital from this supposed industrial accident? Or is that simply another one of her fantasies as well?

I have spoken with several people who have seen Kaz close up, and they all say that there is no scar visible under her chin. Some of them have said that there is a scar on the back of her neck, at the hairline. This has caused some to theorize that the pictures are from Kaz having cosmetic surgery.

We may never know. But the bandages in the pictures, and a scar at the hairline at the back of the neck, are consistent with having a "face lift."

The following are excerpts from an email I received on March 29, 2005, sent by the pastor of a church in the Los Angeles area.

I have removed identifying information.

From: [email address] Date: Tue, Mar 29, 2005 4:23 pm To: StopKaz@StopKaz.com Subject: Kaz in Santa Monica Dear Robert: I will not be long in this letter but Kaz attended our church [name of church] from around 2002 to 2003. She made most of these claims and more. She did not use the title Dr., or spiritual advisor to President Clinton or Bush. She couldn't have been there because she lived with various people in Pasadena and Santa Monica. She was brought to our church by a young lady who took her in, in Pasadena and then Kaz took her lap top computer and money. The young lady literally lost her apartment and almost everything she had to Kaz. Kaz claimed at the time she was her daughter and that her daughter was a liar and need help.

This is not the first time I have been told of Kaz claiming that a young woman is her daughter (even though I have been told by people who know Kaz that she has no daughters).

Back in 2001, Kaz was staying with another young woman in Los Angeles, whom she introduced as her daughter to at least two people.

Later in 2001, the young woman called one of the people who told me this story, and she informed this person that she was not related to Kaz., but had been convinced by Kaz to pretend to be her daughter. She had kicked Kaz out of her home, and wanted nothing more to do with her.

Back to the pastor's email:

Kaz never has her own home, apartment or condo. She always lives off of other people selling this wild story. We met her just after the World Trade Center and she claimed then she was only there by accident and not on business and later it became business.

Not surprising. I have recordings of Kaz saying that she had an office in the World Trade Center, and recordings of her saying that she was "only visiting."

When she first arrived with us she also claimed she was a news anchor in Australia and she was sorry she left her job there to come to America in 2000.

There is of course no evidence of her ever having been a news anchor, and it is known that she was living in America well before 2000, as early as 1997.

After we exposed her she left to live with her "son" in San Diego that was the last we heard of her.

I have been told, by someone who spoke to an actual son of Kaz's, that she only has two children: both sons, both of whom live in Australia.

If you confront her to her face she backs off and claims she will sue you but she knows it would not hold up in court because everything is a lie. So be bold and confront her to her face that is what we did. Good Luck, [Pastor's name]

Since Kaz returned to Australia and New Zealand in December of 2004, I have received a lot of communications from that part of the world.

One document obtained from "down under" is her birth certificate.

Where was Kaz born? If you ask her, the answer will vary.

When she spoke at Christ Church in Los Angeles in 2003, she said the following:

"Um…. My background is rather interesting. I came into the world with mystery and intrigue. I am the love child of two very famous people. One’s English, and one is American. Although I was born on the family estate in Canada." Hear the audio

I was told by my mother, and others in the Los Angeles area, that she told them the same thing: Canada.

However, when speaking in Australia, in front of the Korean-speaking congregation at Sydney Full Gospel in January of 2005, she tells a different story:

"I was actually the result of a love affair between two famous actors in Hollywood. [Korean translation] And because I was the illegitimate child of two famous people... [Korean translation] I was born on the country estate of my Grandparents in New Zealand. [Korean translation]" Hear the audio

So, which is it: Canada or New Zealand?

My sources have told me that she was born and raised in New Zealand. I have also been told that her accent is "full-on New Zealander."

So why the different stories? While in the USA, she told the "born in Canada" version of her story. I have no idea why.

I believe that she changed to the "born in New Zealand" version while in Australia and New Zealand because she knew that the people there would know a New Zealander accent when they heard one.

One document which has reached me by way of New Zealand is a copy of Kaz's birth certificate, a scan of which can be seen above (I have blacked out the Registration Number).

As I believe is the case with all government forms in New Zealand, the document is in both English and Maori, the language of the indigenous people of New Zealand.

Here is the (English) text of the pertinent parts of the document:

So, Kaz was born Carol Ann Priest, the daughter of Doris and Colin Priest.

A search of genealogy databases at www.RootsWeb.com finds entries which appear to be these two people:

I was disappointed that no children of Colin and Doris Priest were listed in the database, but have been told that it is common practice when listing a genealogy on the web to omit the names of people who are still alive. This is partly to prevent identity theft.

So, there is no "mystery and intrigue." And she was not the child of two "famous actors in Hollywood", but of two working-class New Zealanders, a housewife and a plasterer.

Two more documents which have made their way to me from "down under" are two passports, images of which can be seen above (I have blacked out identification numbers).

The Australian Passport

The first is an Australian passport, issued in February of 1997 to Karolanne Victoria Jane Seaborne-Lavell.

As we learned from her birth certificate, Kaz's given name at birth was "Carol Ann." And her date of birth was November 26th, 1947, as appears on this passport.

I understand that she was at one time married to a Robert Seaborne, but I do not know where the "Lavell" comes from.

The signature on the passport reads "Karolanne Lavell."

The New Zealand Passport

The second is a New Zealand passport, issued in August of 2004 to Kazshari deMille-Jacobsen.

Again, the date of birth is November 26th, 1947. We also learned from her birth certificate that at some point in her life, she changed her name to Kazshari deMille-Jacobsen. This apparently happened between February of 1997 (when the Australian passport was issued) and August of 2004 (when this one was issued).

I do not know if she had the name changed legally or not, but she has now managed to get an official government document with this new, self-invented name. My guess is that she shows this to people as "proof" of her supposed connection to the deMille family, neglecting to mention that she didn't have that name on an official document until a few months ago.

Notice how, despite her claims to have been married for eight years to singer Fabian Forte and for 23 years to a supposed race-car driver named Roberto Andretti, that the names Forte and Andretti appear nowhere on either passport, nor on the list of "Name changes" on her birth certificate.

So, to summarize:

• She sometimes claims to have been born in Canada. Her birth certificate shows otherwise.
• She claims to have been born to "Hollywood stars." Her birth certificate shows otherwise.
• She claims to have been married to men named Andretti and Forte. Her birth certificate and passports, despite listing five different names for her, do not support that.

Ever since I put this site together, I figured it would only be a matter of time before someone came forward who knew where Kaz really was on September 11th, 2001.

That has now happened.

Back in February, I received the following email:

Subject: thebiggestpieceofcrap--EVER!! From: [email address] Date: Wed, Feb 16, 2005 8:02 pm To: stopkaz@stopkaz.com Unfortunately, I knew this fraud from around June 1999 - May 2002. One of her red flags was her grammar. Another was all the miraculus events in her life. Peter Lawford and Catherine DeMille are her parents, so she bulls***s. I have never met a con like her. Unreal. Definitely had me, my family and friends believing for a bit. But always felt something was weird and of course the clincher was when she started e-mailing about her 911 experience from the trailer she was living in during 911 and is in [town's name], California. It was then that my friend [man's name], kicked her out. Yes, [man's name] is e-mailing you as well. Listen, I have pic's, stories, experiences with this piece of s*** who already took enough time and energy from my life and those I love. But boy are you right. She is 100% a fraud. -[woman's name]

I replied, giving her my phone number, and told her that either she or her friend were welcome to call me at any time.

Some days later, I received a call from a man who identified himself as the friend of the woman who had emailed me.

We spoke for more than ninety minutes, as he related his story to me. It immediately became obvious, through details he mentioned about Kaz which I already knew, but are not mentioned on this site, that he definitely knew her.

He said that the woman had gotten her dates a bit mixed up, and that Kaz had stayed at his place from June of 2001 through April of 2002. And that she had definitely been in his home on September 11th, 2001, watching the news along with his nephew's girlfriend.

He provided me with much information, including names and phone numbers of others who knew Kaz during that time, such as the psychology professor mentioned above.

Here, in his own words, is his experience with Kaz., which he has given me permission to display here:

I had the misfortune of being caught in this imposter's web from June, 2001 thru April 2002. I can assure you that she is NOT to be trusted and that she is most definitely NOT a survivor of 9/11. She was in fact sitting in my living room with my nephew's girlfriend while I was at work. I won't get into the specifics of how we met or what led her staying at my house but I will share the events that led to me finally having enough and got her out of my house. I read an email that was sent to my email address in response to an email that 'Kaz' sent out seeking employment. I could not believe what I had read. She even had the nerve to get mad at me for reading 'her' email even though it was sent to my address. the following is that email: From: "Client Support - BrassRing.com" To: [email address] Subject: RE: Regarding registration with your company and associates Date: Tuesday, April 30, 2002 11:02 AM Dear Kaz, Currently we are a job board that is mainly for the high tech / professional industry If you wish to post your resume please follow the directions below. [They explain to Kaz how to submit a resume to their site.] Thank you for your interest with BrassRing! Regards, Client Support [phone number] [What follows is the email from Kaz that Brassring.com was replying to. Emphasis mine. -RL] -----Original Message----- From: [email address] To: support@BrassRing.com Subject: Regarding registration with your company and associates Sent: Monday, April 29, 2002 3:03 PM Dear Sir and Madam, I have been a senior executive partner in a two companies for the past fifteen and thirty years respectively. In one of these company's I have been strategist, consultant, negotiator, motivational speaker, lecturer and trainer to the trainer. Career and life coach. Contacted out to major companies. I have higher education in Sociology, Communications, Journalism. Multi media relations. Behavioral studies. In the other I have been the deals negotiator, producer for a awards credited co-partnered film and Television company. On September 11th my partners and I had entertained clients for breakfast and taken them up the North Tower of the World Trade Center. I was at the 64th floor on my way down to attend a meeting when the plane hit. I survived but my partners and clients did not. With no insurances being paid out due to their claim of "Force Mature" there is no way to start over in the field I was. Plus it would never be the same without my business soul mate. However, I am the eternal optimist, grateful to be alive and loving very moment of every day. I would like to do just that start over and take up a new challenge.. Find a new career with a new direction. Are you able to assist me. Can I register with your company? Or could you refer me to some well respected recruitment companies. I traveled your site and was impressed by your layout and clientele. I shall look forward to hearing from you soon, Yours Truly, Kaz Jacobsen-Lavell Anyway, she is not what she appears to be and anything that she says should be considered to be false. [Man's name]

Knowing that she had been in his home on September 11th, he found out that she was telling this recruiting company that she had been in the World Trade Center on that day.

He told me that when he asked her how she could lie about such a thing, her response was along the lines of "So? How would they find out?"

He threw her out of his home that day.

A few comments regarding Kaz's email to the job service:

• In the emphasized portion, she claims to have been "at the 64th floor on my way down" when the plane struck, whereas later her story changed so that she was between the 96th and 94th floors.

• She now claims that God told her - during her supposed coma following September 11th of 2001 - that she was to work only for Him. Why then is she contacting a job placement service in April of 2002?

• And, once again: does this read like it was written by someone who had earned a doctorate?

Email: An Open Letter To Kaz

There is nothing new in this. I simply wrote it in response to something Kaz has said a number of times.

You have no "home number," since you move from one person's home to another every few weeks or months. You do not advertise your upcoming speaking engagements, since you do not want your critics - or those who you have scammed and who later caught on to that fact - to be there to confront you, to expose your scam. Your birth certificate says that you were born Carol Ann Priest, the child of Doris and Colin Priest, a housewife and a plasterer. It is an official document, issued by the New Zealand office of Births, Deaths and Marriages. Are they lying? There are many, many people you have stayed with who kicked you out of their homes once they realized you were a fraud. I've spoken with a number of them. Are they all lying? A number of the women who traveled with you and sang at your appearances, later realized you are a fraud. I have been contacted by a number of them. Are they lying? A minister in Santa Monica told me about confronting you regarding your false claims. Is he lying? Another minister reviewed a video of you talking about your appearance at his church, and says that your statements about that appearance were false in almost every point. Is he lying? The deMilles say that you are not related to them in any way. Are they lying? No, Kaz, all of these people are not lying. You are. And you need to stop. What you are doing is sick. Every time you tell these lies, it is an insult to all of those who actually were in the World Trade Center on that day. Your lies are an insult to the memory of those who died there, and a mockery of the continuing pain and suffering of those who truly survived the horrors of that day. And every time you accept donations from a congregation for telling them these lies, you are also mocking that congregation, that church, and even Christianity itself. So, find some other way to make money. An honest way, if you know how. But stop this sickening exploitation of one of the greatest tragedies America has ever known. Stop, Kaz. I've heard from several people who have spoken with Kaz, that she claims to have attended school at Beverly Hills High School here in the Los Angeles area, as well as schools in Italy and Switzerland.

A search on www.Classmates.com (a web site where people can contact old school friends) found a Classmates profile under "Kazshari Jacobsen Demille," one of the many names she goes by.

I cannot know for a fact that it was Kaz who created this profile (anyone can create a profile there under any name), but it matches claims she has been known to make, and I can't think of a reason anyone else would create the profile.

Here are the schools and years the profile mentions:

Now, a person who has known Kaz for decades has told me that Kaz was born in New Zealand, and, as far as this person knows, she never left New Zealand until she was an adult, and never went outside of New Zealand and Australia until around 1990.

So this would all appear to be nonsense.

And again, Classmates.com does nothing to insure that the people who add their names to schools on the site have actually attended those schools, so anyone can add any name to any school on the site.

But even so, and even though it is such a minor claim, I decided to look into it for the sake of thoroughness.

Let's look at each of these entries...

Vicenza American High School, 1964-1965

I was unable to find much information about this school, and so have no evidence about whether or not Kaz could have attended.

Beverly Hills High School, 1960-1964

I emailed a number of people who attended Beverly Hills High School during the years when "Kazshari" is listed as having attended: school years 1960-1961 through 1963-1964.

Here is the text of that email:

My name is Robert Lancaster, and I have an unusual request, regarding your years at Beverly Hills High School. There is a woman who I believe to be a con artist, who makes lots of wild claims about herself in front of church congregations. I have recently found out that she claims to have attended Beverly Hills High School back in the early 1960's. I seriously doubt this, but would like to find out for sure one way or the other. I found your name and email address [location where found], and was wondering if you would be willing to look in your yearbooks from back then (assuming you still have them), and see if this woman is listed in them. If so, I would greatly appreciate it. If not, i would certainly understand, as this is such an odd situation, and an odd request from a stranger. I would be more than glad to answer any questions you might have about this request. She has gone under a wide variety of names over the years (as is frequently the case with con artists), but here are the ones it seems most likely she might have used back then: Last names: Jacobsen, DeMille, Priest. First names: Carol, Carolanne, Kaz. She (or someone using one of her names) is listed on the BHHS section of Classmates.com as "Kazshari Jacobsen Demille," for the years '60 - '64. I received replies from two people who were kind enough to check their yearbooks. Here is one:

I'll check '60 later this week. Of course a few folks who were in the class did not show up in a particular year, but do show up in another year. I've not heard of anyone in the class of 63 who didn't show up in ANY of those years. We've tracked down about 90% of the class. I notice you list 60-64 as the years at BHHS -- it is a four year high school, not five year. [person's name]

A third alumni of BHHS was kind enough to meet with me and show me yearbook pictures of a girl named Carol Ann [last name]. But the last name was not one I've seen Kaz use, the graduation year was not 1964, and she did not have Kaz's pronounced New Zealand accent. I have shared those pictures with others, some of whom have known Kaz for decades, and they say that the girl in the picture is not Kaz.

International School of Lausanne, 1958-1960

It would have been extremely difficult for Kaz to have attended the International School of Lausanne during the years 1958-1960.

Why? Because, according to the History Page of the school's official web site (emphasis mine):

"Founded in 1962, originally to meet the needs of the English-speaking community, the English School of Lausanne opened with seven pupils in the Rehearsal rooms of the Municipal Theatre of Lausanne in 1962."

So, when Kaz claims to have attended, The school did not even exist.

So it would appear that yet again, upon examination, Kaz's claims have no basis in fact or reality.

The Photograph

Often, when Kaz gives one of her presentations, she shows the above photograph of Manhattan.

She claims that she herself took the photograph while looking out the window of a conference room on the 101st floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11th, 2001, mere minutes before the tower was struck by a plane in the terrorist attacks of that day.

The image above is from a streaming video shot at Sydney Full Gospel Church on January 8th of 2005, in which she shows a slide of the photograph, with the heading:

"This photo was taken on the morning of September 11th from the level of where Kaz was standing. On the 101 level of the North tower."

While she was showing the slide that day, she said the following:

"This is gonna be hard for you to see on a big screen, but this photo, this is an original photo, that was taken in my camera, on that morning. I have the original photo in here, and I have several others, that were taken in my camera. On… on the far side is the other tower, the South Tower. Right out… I don’t know if you can see there’s a little dot up there on the screen. If you look at it in the photo, it’s actually an airplane on the horizon. Go to the next. [another photo is shown, of Kaz in a hospital bed] This is the aftermath. But I’m gonna ask them to leave that photo, and I’m gonna ask them now to show you a video, but I need brothers that are in the halls to lower the lights the moment the video comes on. You can’t imagine to be seeing something coming at you. On that morning, I was looking out of the window, at the 101 level on the North Tower. I had been to a meeting in the… a breakfast meeting at Windows of the World. Then I was invited to be part of another meeting that was held within the Cantor Fitzgerald Peabody levels of the North Tower. I was in the conference room looking back up Manhattan. I was about to pour myself a cup of coffee, and I looked out and saw it was a sunny day, and it was clear. So I got my camera out of my bag, and thought I would take some photos, because I was leaving New York to come back to L.A., to have a bone marrow transplant."

She used that same picture as part of the flyer (shown above) which was handed out when she appeared at my mother's church in 2004. This flyer is shown and discussed earlier on this page.

Here is the heading she gave the picture on that flyer:

"This photo was taken on the morning of Sept 11th From our conference room window. The film in my pentax camera made it out in my shoulder bag."

So then, here are her claims about this photo:

It was taken on the 101st floor of the North tower of the World Trade Center, on September 11th, 2001, some time between 8:00 and 8:30am.

Now let’s examine these claims more closely.

The Wrong Floor

Recently, Claus Larsen - a visitor to this web site and former resident of New York City - wrote to me regarding Kaz's photograph, stating that there was absolutely no way that it could have been taken from the 101st floor, but instead had to have been taken from the observation deck on the 110th floor.

As proof of this, he sent the following picture, which he himself had taken while on a visit to the World Trade Center on April 7th of 2001:

Note that in both pictures (Kaz's and Mr. Larsen's), we are looking slightly down at the roof of the other tower on the left edge of the photo.

In order to see that roof, you had to be on the observation deck on the roof of the other tower, on the 110th floor. If Kaz's picture had actually been taken on the 101st floor as she claims, the roof of the other tower would have been nine stories above the camera.

See also this image from another site, which was taken from the 109th floor. The roof of the other tower is way above us now, and connot be seen, even though this picture was taken from eight floors higher than where Kaz claims her picture was taken:

It is clear from these images that Mr. Larsen is correct: Kaz's photograph could not have been taken from the 101st floor - or the "101 level," as she calls it.

The Wrong Tower

This brings up an even more serious problem with the picture.

Kaz claims that the picture she shows was taken from the North Tower, but that cannot be true.

The site of the World Trade Center is "downtown," at the southern tip of Manhattan Island.

The view shown in both Kaz's and Mr. Larsen's pictures is of mid-town Manhattan, north of the World Trade Center site. This means that the camera was facing north when the picture was taken.

The location of the World Trade Center is marked in green, at the south end of the island. The location of the Empire State Building is marked in red. The Empire State Building is northward in midtown, which can be seen in the distance in both Kaz's and Mr. Larsen's photos.

The two photographs were shot under different lighting conditions, and, due to the poor quality of the photocopy I have of Kaz's photo, certain things are difficult to make out. But it is still discernible that the two photographs are of the same view of Manhattan.

The buildings I have circled are:

A: One Penn Plaza. It appears to have a point on top, but that is actually the top of the Worldwide Plaza behind it.

B: The Empire State Building, which is barely visible in Kaz's photo, due to poor contrast. (Scroll down the page on the ESB to see this image of the view of the ESB from the World Trade Center).

C: Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.

D: University Village (The Silver Towers).

E: The Con Edison Building.

Now, Kaz claims she took her photograph from the north tower. However, since the photo was taken facing north, the tower we see at the left of the photos is the North tower. So obviously, Kaz's photo could not have been taken from there.

In the Sydney Full Gospel quote earlier, she claims that the tower shown at left in her photo is actually the South tower, saying:

" On… on the far side is the other tower, the South Tower."

There was no public access to the roof of the North tower. But if a picture had been taken from there, showing the South tower on the left, the camera would have to be facing south. This would not have shown a view of midtown Manhattan, but instead would show the bay and the ocean beyond, with Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty prominent.

When asked, Mr. Larsen confirmed that his picture had been taken from the observation deck on the 110th floor of the South tower.

The Wrong Day

So her photo was not taken from the building or floor she said it had been taken. But could it at least have been taken on September 11th, 2001?

No.

In September, the observation deck on the South tower opened to the public at 9:30am. The north tower had already been struck by then, at 8:46am, so this photograph of an intact north tower could not have been taken on that day. It is doubtful that the observation deck was even opened at all.

The Wrong Time?

It is difficult to tell much from the grainy black-and-white copy I have of Kaz's photo, but several of the buildings look as though the sun is striking them from our left. If the photo had been taken in the morning, the sun would be in the east, to the camera's right.

Also, in the morning, with the sun to the east, the east side of the towers would have been in direct sunlight.

However, in Kaz's photograph, the east side of the north tower, seen at the left of the photo, is in darkness, as would be expected if the photograph had been taken in the afternoon, when the sun would be in the west.

In Conclusion

Kaz claims that her photograph was taken from the 101st floor. It could not have been.

She claims it was taken from the North Tower. It could not have been.

She claims it was taken on the morning of September 11th, 2001. It could not have been.

With these claims, as with all of her story: when examined closely, there is no truth to be found.

Various: Kaz's Visit to the "Heavenly Realm"

My Trip To The Moon

Suppose I told you that last night I had an "out-of-body experience," wherein I flew to the moon. While I was there, I met with the ghost of Abraham Lincoln. After a long and involved conversation with Mr. Lincoln, I returned back to my body on Earth.

Could you prove me wrong? No.

That is one of the reasons why up until this point, I have generally avoided commenting on Kaz's claim that she died and went to heaven, spoke to Jesus, and then returned to her body in her hospital bed. Anyone could claim such a thing, secure in the fact that nobody could prove them wrong.

When police interview a person who has an unverifiable story (no witnesses), one thing the police pay attention to is consistency. Does the story stay the same on subsequent tellings? Or does it change? The more it changes, the less believable it becomes.

As part of her whole 9/11 tale, Kaz claims that, while hospitalized in a coma (following the wounds she supposedly received in the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001), she died and went to heaven. There she meets various people, sees various things, meets Jesus, then God, is told some parables, given her "mission," and sent back to earth, where she wakes up out of her coma.

So, is her story consistent? Or does it change from telling to telling?

Fortunately, I now have several audio, video and printed versions of her story - all in her own words. And in her telling of these various versions of her story, key elements change again and again - including the "Heavenly Realm" portion of her story.

Let's look at a few of these changing elements.

Meeting Jesus

One part of the tale concerns her meeting Jesus.

I would imagine that, if such a thing were to happen to a person, it would be a very memorable event.

Yet Kaz's memory of it seems to change time and again.

Here is a version from the Microsoft Word document she wrote of her "testimony," entitled " World Trades (sic) Center and a Miracle or Two" (I have added emphasis, but have left spelling and punctuation as is.):

One of these men stretched his hand out to me and said, "I am James", come my sister. He just smiled but I could feel his love for me fill me up. I instantly felt at ease and at home. A special tranquility with in. Holding my hand he moved me forward into another room and there before me was a splendid sight. A room full of light, splendid objects and beautiful furnishings. Standing before me was a tall, well built, strong man. His hair and beard were dark, his skin bronzed and radiant. His eyes were hypnotic in there deep rich amber color. His smile wide and bright. A majestic radiance permeated from within him and I felt great love and calm. I knew him straight away although I had never seen this man before in the world's pictures. I had seen him in my visions and dreams. It was our Lord Jesus.

Here is another version, told to the Sydney Full Gospel Church on January 9th, 2005:

"But I want to share a couple of experiences that I had on a one-on-one situation. I passed through a room. The room had incredibly jeweled walls. And all of a sudden, a very bright illuminated light, long, like an egg shape, appeared. And as it got brighter, it became brighter at the bottom. And as I looked upon this light, as I raised my head to look upon the light, Jesus Christ manifested in the flesh."

Finally, here is a section from an audio tape I have of her speaking in front of a church. I do not know the date, nor the name of the church:

"And all in all, what happened, was I went through a series of successions, that are not really explainable and yet they are, and the Lord has allowed me to tell some, because I have very clear memories. But I remember seeing solidified particles that looked like giant jellyfish with translucent vapors. And at any given time they could materialize into anything they so desired… desired to do. And then one of these came in front of me, and materialized, and I remember being on my knees, and I remember the hands extending out, and said "Come, Izriah, now you will understand how through me you will know the Father." And I looked up, and I saw the Lord."

So, which is it?

Was he simply standing in a "splendid" room?

Or did he manifest from within an egg-shaped "bright illuminated light" which became "brighter at the bottom?"

Or did he materialize from one of a group of "solidified particles" that looked like a "giant jellyfish with translucent vapors?"

If her "Heavenly Realm" tale was true, or if she even thought it was true, would it change like this? Especially on what I would think would be such a memorable part of the tale?

Parable of the Weeds/Flowers/Irises

In another part of her Heavenly Realm tale, she is given some parables by God (or by Jesus). One of these parables that she often tells is one involving some Irises/flowers.

I would think that if a person were to be given a parable directly by God or Jesus in person as Kaz claims, that person would remember it, and pass it on word for word. Instead, this parable (like the rest of her story) changes widely from telling to telling.

Here is the version she gives in her "World Trades (sic) Center and a Miracle or Two" document (spelling and punctuation again left alone):

He gave to me several parables but one I would like to tell you of is a wonderful parable about the field of wild flowers. He showed before me a large field of wild flowers. It was a mass of colors and splendid to behold. He asked what is it you notice in that field? I replied, their beauty and variety is splendid. He said, look closer and then continued. They are like the creation of humankind. All shapes, sizes, color, but they are all unique unto themselves. Look closer, he requested. I did and he said what do you see? I replied, beautiful pink, purple and yellow flowers. He said, are they not equally as beautiful as each other? Continuing without waiting on my reply, He stated that they are weeds, growths that feed off others, sucking all their nutrients until finally they die. Therefore, it is the same amongst humankind. The weeds, humankind coming as attractive angels of light are growing alongside my pure flowers attaching themselves to them and draining them until they die in me. Humankind must be alert and on guard. Arming themselves all the time. Residing in me not the natural. (Flesh)

So, it is about a field of pink, purple and yellow weeds.

Here is another version, from an audio tape of her speaking in front of Christ Church in Los Angeles (July 6th, 2003):

…and I'm going to give you two parables that were given to me in His presence before I conclude. He showed me a field of wild flowers, and as far as my eye could see, I could see great glory of color. And He brought them in a zoom closer to me and He said "What do you see?" I said "I see great creation. What a great creation, Lord." He said "Have a close look. Look at the irises." So then it was two irises in front of me and he said "What do you note about them?" I said "Well, they're both purple and blue and beautiful." He said "They are of the same species, but uniquely different." Now keep this in mind: uniquely different. And then he said "What about those other flowers?" And I said "The same - they're uniquely different." He said "Look down, and through. What do you see?" I said "I see pink flowers, beautiful flowers of pink and yellow and orange and red." He said "The weeds! They are weeds! They're weeds growing amongst his… My creation. They are weeds growing in my blooms and they are strangling them and sucking the life out of them. And so too with mankind." Each one of you are His uniquely different, created bloom. That he wants to see grow to full fruition in Him. And what does he see? He sees the weeds growing amongst you, sucking the life out of you. Can you imagine how sad he feels? He said… very clearly "I know what it is to lose a family. I know your sadness, Kaz" but he said … he called me in another name… he said "I know your sadness. I know your loss. Because I lost my family, and I'm losing my children. I'm losing them one by one. I cry for them. The same as I'd cried for the children of Egypt when I brought them out with Moses. I'm crying for you."

So now, the parable changes. It is now about a field of flowers, two purple and blue irises, and some pink, yellow, orange and red weeds. Note also that what she quotes Jesus as saying has changed quite a bit.

Here is a third version, from her appearance on the Jesse Lee Peterson radio show (September 02, 2004):

Kaz: I saw a lot of things, and I had… I spent time with God, in the sense that… I'd like to share a parable… can… have I got time to do so? Jesse Lee: You do. Yes. Kaz: He showed me, um, on a horizon, a manifestation of… purple mountains. And when I saw those mountains, I looked at them, and He said "what do you see?" I said "I see a purple mountain." And he brought it closer. "What do you see now?" And I said "I see fields and fields of wild flowers." And they brought them closer and he said "What do you see now?" And I said "I see a beautiful iris. And on that iris there are… there are several blooms." In fact, there were eight that I counted. One stalk, and beautiful leaves, and it was held in the ground. And he said "What do you see now?" And I said "Well I see a beautiful flower Lord. I see a beautiful iris," and I said "the colors are purple and blue and yellow." He said "Now look through My eyes." In looking through his eyes, I saw individual blooms that were uniquely different. And His interpretation of how he sees human beings is just like that iris. That each bloom is uniquely different. Each one is structured, and stands upon the one stalk. That one stalk is the living water of Christ. The roots are the Word. And he looks at it like that. And to have that realization of that, that we are all uniquely different - we are really individuals. We all have a unique purpose. We all are created uniquely different for a reason.

This time, it was about purple mountains, then a mountain, then fields of flowers, then one stalk of eight irises, purple, blue and yellow. No weeds. She adds the bit about the structure of the stalk and roots.

A fifth, from the audio tape of her speaking in front of that unknown church:

And I'm going to give you another parable of the Lord. He showed me a whole scene of purple. And he asked me "What do you see?" I said "I see a haze of purple." And he brought it close he said "What do you see?" I said "I see hills covered in purple." He said "What else do you see?" I said "I just see purple everywhere, purple." And he brought it right up, like a zoom. Said "What do you see now?" I said "I see fields of irises." And he said "What do you see now?" and he brought one plant - it was one stalk in the ground with its leaves and eight blooms. He said "Izriah, what do you see?" And I said "I see beautiful flowers." He said "Now I'm going to show you through my eyes." And within a second, he showed me through his eyes. Each bloom was beautiful in its makeup and its compounds. But they were all uniquely different. But they all grew on one stalk, and one stem went into the ground with strong roots. No matter what the wind did, it stayed upright. He said "Each and every one of our creation is one of those blooms. Uniquely created but the same species. But uniquely different, all fed by the one stalk - Me. Held in the ground by… the Word and the Father's love." Who are you? Are you an iris? Are you a bloom? Or are you a weed? Because the weeds grow in with those blooms. And they can either strangle the bloom to death, or they can just die off because the flower stands stronger.

This time it a haze of purple, then hills, then fields. Then she adds in the weeds again - not as part of her "conversation with Jesus," but as an afterthought of sorts.

A sixth, from Sydney Full Gospel (January 8th, 2005):

So what happened next to me in heaven? The Lord ran some parables and some things past me, and I'm gonna share some of those with you. He showed me mountains of purple. [to translator] Purple. It's a color. trying to find the [unintelligible] words. I'll stand next to you. And he brought it closer and he said, "What do you see." And he brought it closer again and he said, "What do you see?" And I said, "I see fields of wild irises." [to translator] Irises. I waited. Irises. Yeah, like the eye, but they're flowers. And then he brought one big stem of irises, one stem, with eight blooms, right close. And he said "Izriah, what do you see?" And so I answered "I see a beautiful flowers, Lord. I see beautiful irises, purple, yellow, beautiful." He said "From today on, you shall see through My eyes." And in a second I looked back at the irises, and I knew what it meant. Because each iris was different. Each iris was uniquely different. They all were on the same stalk. They all were held in the ground by the same roots. And I knew that that was his way of saying "This is my people." Because you are uniquely different, just as beautiful, on the one stalk - the river of life. The water of life. The connection of the holy spirit. And the roots in the ground are his word. And that's how you are held together in his eyes. You are fed from the same source. Given the same structure. But you are uniquely, beautifully different to him.

Here we have a mountain, then a field of purple and yellow irises. This time the stalk, instead of representing Jesus, represent "the river of life. The water of life. The connection of the holy spirit."

Note that not only do the individual elements of this supposed parable change from telling to telling, but the whole point of it changes as well. Although the point is never very clear, sometimes it is "be a flower, not a weed," other times it is "everyone is unique."

Returning to Earth

Even this relatively mundane part of the tale - how she woke up once again in the hospital upon her return from "The Heavenly Realm" - varies widely from telling to telling.

King's Way Community Church (October 24, 2004)

They had signed me off, said that, um, they had tried everything but I'd kept going into cardiac arrest, and that they had kept bringing me back with. uh, appropriate instruments, and then I was clinically dead, and they were about to bodybag me and send me to the morgue. And then one of the nurses felt that, that I wasn't completely gone, and the third check had not been completely done, where they have several doctors always mark you off, and they always bring in a third one to verify. When the third one came in, they decided to do a series of more tests, and found that there actually was a heartbeat there, and… a short time later, I actually woke up. So I could have even been in the refrigerator, but, um, fortunately I came back.

West Bowles (April 18, 2004)

I went into a dia… into a coma, a leukemic coma, which I stayed in for three and a half months. In that coma, I died. I was clinically dead for 28 minutes. During that time, they sent the last guy, the last doctor. He came in to do the checkoff. How many medical people do we have here? Any doctors? Okay. You know that it is regulation that a last doctor and a nurse come and check every vital sign and every vital point. And they mark them off before they put you in a body bag and send you to the morgue. And as they were marking my vitals, completely gone, I opened my eyes. The doctor said "It's a… a reaction She's still gone." The nurse said "No, she's there." It was a very faint heartbeat, but it started to come back, bit by bit by bit.

Sydney Full Gospel (January 8, 2005)

And when I woke up, I felt myself come back into my body, I saw myself laying on the bed, I knew everything that was happening in that room. But I didn't really want to come. And I guess there was a fight in my sprit, because there was not a smooth landing. Can you imagine the poor nurse? She's come in, and she's been told this person is dead, and she's told to do the third check-off, and she calls the orderly - that's the other man that pushes the trolley - and they're gonna put a toe tag on me, and then all of a sudden, the person opens their eyes. And moves the eyes to look to the nurse! As much to say "What's going on here?" That poor girl's got gray hair now! That's not exactly true, I'm just saying that. But she got a fright. She ended up calling all the doctors, they all came running, put the monitors back on my head and my heart, and they checked everything. My pulse was very low. But it was scary for them. But it was great for me. 'Cause I'm here now.

So, in the first, a "third doctor" finds a faint heartbeat, and she wakes up "a short time later."

In the second, a doctor and nurse were checking her, she wakes up, they do more tests, and find a heartbeat.

In the third, a nurse and an orderly are about to put a toe tag on her when she wakes up, the nurse then calls the doctors back in, and they check her, finding a pulse.

It is such a simple part of the story. Why does it - and the cast of characters involved - keep changing?

Conclusion

As with all of Kaz's stories, her account of "The Heavenly Realm" is never the same twice, with key details changing again and again.

If she had truly visited Heaven, and been given important messages to bring back to earth, wouldn't those messages stay the same, rather than changing over and over?

What if every time I told that story about meeting Mr. Lincoln on the moon, key elements of the story were different? The way Lincoln first appeared to me, the important things he told me, the way I returned back to my body - kept changing from telling to telling?

Chances are, you would conclude that I had either made the whole story up, or that I was mentally disturbed.

I think it is fair to apply the same standard, the same expectation of consistency, to Kaz's claim of a visit to "The Heavenly Realm."

And I think that the conclusion would be the same.

Email: An Open Letter From a Visitor to This Site

Recently, I was contacted by a gentleman named Michael who had found this web site, and wanted to share with me some of his professional knowledge which punches even more holes in Kaz's story.

Michael is an elevator mechanic, and the portion of Kaz's story where she escapes from the elevator has some interesting flaws in it, which someone who works in elevator shafts for a living would see right away.

I am currently following up on what Michael has told me, and more will be told about that in a following article in the days to come.

A few days after I was first contacted by Michael, he emailed me again.

Robert, I have been thinking about this POS, Kaz a lot since viewing your web-site. I do not know her nor do I care to but I can not help feel betrayed by her and many others that have turned that tragic day into profit. I would like to write an open letter to her, if you would care to post it, OK, if not, that is ok too as it will help me deal with 911 a little bit more.

Michaels's letter to Kaz echoes my outrage at what she has done, but from a perspective all his own.

Here is that letter. I have left it just as it was sent.

Kaz, You don't know me but you see people like me everyday. You probably have quaint names for us like "the little people" or "the worker bees". I may never know the kind of lifestyle that you claim to have enjoyed in your life time, I am however something you are not. I am a caring God fearing man. Perhaps you are demented and can not help the lies that spew forth from your mouth, if that is the case then I urge you to seek professional help. I think that you are simply a lazy liar who makes her trade at the expense of others misery and the inherent quest for answers that dwells within us all. I know where you were on September, 11, 2001. Let me tell you where I was. I was putting an elevator in a Jesuit retreat in Cincinnati Ohio. The Foreman of the job came and told me and my partner that we should go with him and see what was on TV. We went into the office of a Priest and about 10mins later the first tower fell. The first word out of my mouth were "Jesus f**** Christ!" Father did not say a word, he came and hugged me like a Father hugs a child. He acted like a Christian, you however... 911 forever changed me Kaz. It took me about ten days to break down and cry, but I did, I wept and I called out to God and I thought about all those Mothers, Fathers, Sons and Daughters that may have been laughing right before the first plane hit and my heart was broken. Do you ever mention them in your testimony? Do you ever talk about the Jews, Hindus, Muslims, the pagans that were murdered that day? People, just people who somebody loved. For myself, I know there is a God and I know that soon you will answer for what you have done. Robert is doing the world a favor by taking the time out of his life to expose you. If you are what you claim, Kaz, confront Robert. Answer his questions. Perhaps you could wash him in the blood of the Lamb. You won't confront him though because you know he speaks the truth and all you have is a web of lies. Know this Woman, the God I know is not all flowers and hymns, you will be judged and you will pay for drinking the blood of the fallen. You may reply to me via this website, if Robert will allow. God is watching you Kaz and the days tick off like seconds. Michael B., Human

I know that Kaz checks out this site from time to time, and will eventually see Michael's letter. I will also send a copy to her email address.

If she sends a response, I will post it.

Various: Elevator Professionals Critique Kaz's Story

A key part of Kaz's World Trade Center story concerns her supposedly escaping from a stuck elevator in the north tower.

Recently, I was contacted by two separate visitors to this site who happen to work in the elevator construction/maintenance industry - one a mechanic, the other an engineer.

After reading this site, each had noticed something about Kaz's elevator story which did not quite make sense to them, and sent me email about what they had noticed.

To better understand their concern, let's examine this part of her story.

(Please note: all bolding and italics within the quotes in this article are mine.)

The Hatch

We'll take up the story from the part where she claims to have left the offices of Cantor-Fitzgerald on the 101st floor of the north tower.

Here is a quote from one of her presentations (Note: This and all Kaz quotes in this article are taken from a transcript of a presentation she gave at West Bowles Community Church in Littleton, Colorado, on April 18, 2004):

"I had gone to the elevator. At the 98th level, the elevator jerked to a stop, and then dropped down slightly. So it was kind of stuck between 98 and 97."

A little later in the story...

"One of the guys suggested that he climb up through the manhole. So two guys held him as he pushed and shoved to get the manhole which was behind one of the light panels, and climb up to see what was going on. So they held him up to about waist level. When he looked up, he said all that he saw was flames. And when he opened that hatch, you could smell fire, and you could smell smoke, and fuel."

Both the elevator mechanic and the engineer had a hard time believing this.

Why? Here is a quote from one of those emails:

"I am a elevator mechanic by trade and the following statement from her flyer jumped right out at me... "The smell of jet fuel and smoke and a further horrendous noise sent a clear message to all captives. Jacobsen and the other seven people were trapped. Five would choose to climb up through the manhole to reach an interior ladder. These five would lose their lives within minutes and the remaining three miraculously survived." I can assure you that in NYC, elevator escape hatches are secured from the out side of the cab. The last thing we want is for an un-trained person to be able to get out and perhaps fall to their death, we want to be there to open it and escort the people to safety."

From the other email, from the elevator engineer:

"In the flyer, the story went that several people climbed out of the “manhole” in the ceiling, and all perished. This is not possible. Though NYC has not adopted the latest version of ASME/ANSI A17.1 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators, even the earlier version in effect in 2001 prohibited the ability of the top exit to be openable from inside the elevator. You can not exit a public accessible passenger elevator through the ceiling from inside the cab, the top exit must be unlocked from the outside. The new code, not in effect at that time, prevents the ability to open the cab doors. Elevator cab doors now have what is known as a “door restraining device” in place. This, in concert with the top exit exterior latch, prevents anyone from exiting an elevator unless a mechanic is present to rescue them. Statistically, this results in less accidents. This device is automatically unlocked when the elevator is level with a landing."

The mechanic recommended that I contact members of the IUEC (International Union of Elevator Constructors), Local # 1 (New York & New Jersey) to get the specifics from those who would know.

I subsequently found an IUEC mailing list, and emailed several hundred members of the IUEC Local #1, describing the elevator escapades in Kaz's story, and asked: "Would the hatch be openable from inside the elevator?". From the dozens of replies I got, I learned that indeed it was in the NYC Elevator Code. Here is a quote from a typical reply:

"It is in the ASME and the NYC Elevator Code that all elevators must have an escape hatch on the roof of the elevator cab. Those hatches are to remain closed and locked such that they can only be opened from outside of the elevator cab, meaning from on top of the elevator, not from inside the cab. It is possible that the hatches were unlocked or even open, but this is highly unlikely in a high profile building such as the World Trade Center."

That last part bears repeating: Even though it would be possible for a hatch to be left unlocked, it is highly unlikely that this would happen in a building such as the World Trade Center. Elevator inspectors routinely check for this. And the WTC, with its hundreds of elevators (each tower had 98 of them), had a staff of elevator mechanics on-site, 24 hours a day, making sure the elevators were safe, and that they would pass inspection.

So, when Kaz was making all of this up, why did she think that the roof hatch in an elevator would be openable from inside the elevator?

Probably because that's the way it works in the movies. The hero, trapped in an elevator, always gets out through the escape hatch. So Kaz., who has most likely never seen the inside of an elevator shaft, assumed that's how things are in real life.

The Ladder

Although my email to the IUEC members only asked about the hatch, a few of the members who replied pointed out yet another reason why her story was not plausible to them.

To explain, let's get back to Kaz's story:

"They then suggested that we climb up through the manhole and make it to the back wall to the ladder, and walk down the ladder slowly, to get out through the serviceman’s door. So one by one they climbed up, one young guy staying behind to help from the bottom, to wedge people up, and one by one they went to the ladder.

A few paragraphs later, all the people on top of the elevator are killed in an explosion which rips a hole in the side of the elevator, so she and two others escape through that hole, and climb down the ladder on the side of the elevator shaft...

"What happened then was a piece of steel that was the main beam, instead of it falling inward, it fell outward. When I put my foot on it – it was approximately this wide – when I put my foot on it, my shoe sizzled from the heat of it. When I stepped up with two feet onto it, to see if it would hold, I knew I was going to die. I knew I had nothing to lose but try. So I bent my knees on it and pushed on it – why, if it had fallen I would have gone down the shaft 96 levels – it held. It had wedged itself, and had jammed into the wall. So I asked Jeff the young boy, “Do you think you can walk out on that beam and make it to the ladder? If we can make it to that ladder, we can climb down the inside of the shaft.” Anna was not in a position to be going anywhere. The young boy had one arm. Try going from rung to rung with one arm. And he said “I can do this, I can do this.” So he went out with me and I helped him onto the ladder. And he just went one rung and jumped and held it with his legs. He could have fallen at any moment, but he hung on, and he just kind of slid down the hand part on the outside to the next rung. I wedged Anna between me, as closely as I could, and walked very slowly sideways over the beam, holding her. I then stepped onto the ladder, and stepped myself up. I then put Anna onto the ladder, and said “Anna, you have to climb down.” So she started to climb down, and I started to climb down behind her.

Why did the IUEC members find that hard to believe?

An IUEC member who had actually worked the elevators at the World Trade Center said it this way:

"If you are correct and this woman did say she escaped from the elevator using a ladder when the elevator side was blown away then I have to ask: where the hell did she get the ladder? There aren't escape ladders on any elevator that lead to floor landings. And there aren't any ladders on the hoistway (shaft) walls either. In my many years in the trade I only know of one single hoistway where there was an escape ladder on the hoistway walls ; and I can say for certain they didn't have that type setup at the Trade Center. I don't believe this woman either."

(Elevator shafts are called "hoistways" in the construction and maintenance industries.)

And this, from a firefighter who is extremely familiar with elevator rescues, but had never seen a ladder in a hoistway:

"There are hoistways with continuous ladders, or so I have been told, but they are few and far between and only in industrial applications. I have never heard of one in a public building."

And this, from another IUEC member:

"The only time I have ever seen a ladder running the length of an elevator shaft was in the movies. Ladders are only installed to get from the bottom floor down to the elevator pit when the pit area is not otherwise accessable."

(An elevator pit is an area below the bottom floor of a hoistway, where the elevator can be placed for servicing.)

Notice the phrase "in the movies"? Again, Kaz seems to have used the fantasy world of movies as a source for her own fantasy.

Port Authority Confirmation

Some IUEC members who replied explained that even though the NYC Elevator Code required escape hatches to be locked and openable only from the outside, the towers were owned by the Port Authority. The Port Authority was exempt from the NYC Elevator Codes and could elect to follow that part of the code or not. The IUEC members were not certain which route the Port Authority had taken.

One of the IUEC members who responded said that he was currently working on a project for the Port Authority, and would ask them for input on all of this. He consulted people at the Port Authority, and got back to me several days later, in an email which contained the following:

"All escape hatches in the world trade center are bolted from the outside & cannot be opened by passangers inside the elevators. There also are no ladders other than pit ladders (pit ladders allow service men to enter the lowest landing & extend down some ten to fifteen feet to service the equipment in the pits) her story tells of climbing down a ladder& going thru a servicemans door. Only in Bruce Willis movies do ladders appear in elevator shafts."

The Holding Bay

After checking with the Port Authority, that same IUEC member found yet another part of her story doesn't hold water:

Back to her story, with her and her two fellow ladder-climbers heading down...

When the young boy got to the door, he had no way of opening it. So I had to ask them to go down below it, so that I could get to it. When I got to the door, it wouldn’t open. The heat had warped it, and I couldn’t open it. So one by one, we kept going down. At the 94th floor, we managed to get a door open. And one by one, we managed to get inside, to the holding bay for the service men. Just as I - being the last person – stepped inside, the elevator box fell, and nearly pulled me down the shaft."

What is the problem here? You probably see it coming, but here is the IUEC member's comment:

"At the end of her story she winds up in a holding bay for servicemen. No such area exists."

Are there enough holes in the story? We aren't done yet.

Falling 96 Floors?

A minor problem with her story, but worth a brief mention:

Again, from her account of bravely standing on the beam between the elevator and the ladder:

"So I bent my knees on it and pushed on it – why, if it had fallen I would have gone down the shaft 96 levels – it held. It had wedged itself, and had jammed into the wall."

In the Twin Towers, every elevator which serviced the 101st floor (where she claims to have entered the elevator) was a "local elevator", and only went as far down as the "sky lobby" on the 78th floor, where passengers would then catch an express elevator down to the ground floor.

So if someone had managed to fall in an elevator shaft from the 96th floor, they would have fallen 18 floors, not 96.

It would seem that if she had been familiar with the World Trade Center (where she sometimes claims to have had an office), she would know that.

Back Into the Building - 94th Floor

She states that after she climbed down the ladder, she and the other two people left the elevator shaft and re-entered the building on the 94th floor:

"At the 94th floor, we managed to get a door open. And one by one, we managed to get inside, to the holding bay for the service men."

As is mentioned elsewhere on this site, it is a well-established fact that nobody survived in the north tower who was above the 91st floor when the plane hit. All the stairways between the 91st and 92nd floor were destroyed or impassable, blocked with debris.

From the article Fresh Glimpse in 9/11 Files of the Struggle for Survival from the August 29, 2003 edition of the New York Times (a transcript of which can be found here):

"At least 50 people stuck on the 88th and 89th floors of the north tower were able to walk out of the building because Mr. De Martini, Mr. Ortiz and others tore away rubble, broke down doors and answered calls for help. Everyone above the 91st floor died."

The NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) - a government agency which studied the WTC disaster - produced a document titled "Federal Building and Fire Safety Investigation of the World Trade Center Disaster Final Report of the National Construction Safety Team on the Collapses of the World Trade Center Towers (Draft)", in which we find the following:

"There were 8,900 ± 750 people in WTC 1 at 8:46 a.m. on September 11, 2001. Of those, 7,470 (or 84 percent) survived, while 1,462 to 1,533 occupants died. At least 107 occupants were killed below the aircraft impact zone. No one who was above the 91st floor in WTC 1 after the aircraft impact survived. This was due to the fact that the stairwells and elevators were destroyed and helicopter rescue was impossible. "

According to Kaz, she and the two people who re-entered the building on the 94th floor all escaped the building. And in fact, she talks of meeting people on the stairs who were on floors even higher than that.

How did they get past the impassable and destroyed stairwells between floors 91 and 92?

Why doesn't anyone - including the 9/11 Commission and the NIST- know about Kaz., her two fellow ladder-climbers, and all the people in the hallway once she got into the 94th floor?

Summary

So, in just this part of her story, she claims that:

• some people exited the elevator through a hatch which would have been locked from the outside,
• she and two others climbed down a ladder which wasn't there,
• then entered a "serviceman's bay" which didn't exist,
• then walked down a stairway which was destroyed or impassable.

Fantasy. A sick, sad fantasy.

In researching this part of the story, I read many accounts of people who died in the WTC on September 11, 2001.

Here is one, from the web site of the IUEC Local #1, regarding one of their own:

"This site is dedicated to Brother Charles Costello. On September 11, 2001, Brother Costello rushed into the Trade Center after the first plane hit, in order to rescue passengers that may have been trapped in the elevators. Chuck is as much of a hero as the fire fighters and police. There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for another. Brother Costello will be sotely missed, but never forgotten."

Stories such as Mr. Costello's, of true courage and true tragedy on that day, make me all the more determined to expose Kaz's lies.

Various: Kaz's Academy Awards

In her presentations, Kaz often mentions the Academy Awards she claims were won by movies which she produced.

The Claim

The image above is of a slide she sometimes shows in her presentations. The caption reads:

"If you look closely you may be able to see 3 Grammies and 2 Academy Awards in Kaz's music room."

On October 24, 2004, she appeared before King's Way Community Church in Lomita California, where she shows a slide (I do no know if it was the same one, as I only have an audio recording), she said:

"So, on the… This is in my music room... WAS my music room. And you'll see that on there, there are, there is an Academy Award, and you'll see there's three Grammys on the mantlepiece, can you see that? I just thought I'd show you some of these today."

On another audio tape I have of her, she said:

"But along the way I formed a producing company with two men who were great guys. We went on to produce 47 films, we have eight Academy Award credit and three Grammy credit."

And when speaking in front of Christ Church in Los Angeles, she said:

"I have been based in Australia for 28 years, coming and going as a producer. I have been part of the Jacobson companies, five subsidiary film companies And television companies. One of them being Torch Entertainment, World Entertainment, and I have been a producer for 38 years. In that 38-year span, we have won eight Academy Awards, two Oscars and three Grammys. So we have had a lot of world recognition."

Wait a minute. "Eight Academy Awards" and "two Oscars?"

An Oscar is an Academy Award. How can someone who really works in the film industry not know that the two are the same? They couldn't.

Examining the Evidence

So, what are these Academy-Award-winning films she supposedly produced? In all of the recordings I have of Kaz., she never mentions the names of these supposed films, so we will just have to look for Kaz and her supposed companies on a list of Academy Award winners.

The Academy Awards are given by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science, which maintains a web site at www.oscars.org.

The site contains a searchable Academy Awards database of every person or company which has ever won - or even just been nominated for - an Academy Award.

If Kaz or one of her supposed companies had ever even been nominated for an Academy Award, we would be able to find them here.

Let's try...

Searching For Academy Awards By Her Name(s):

Searching the database for any nominees/winners with "Jacobsen" in their name shows only one entry:

"SCIENTIFIC OR TECHNICAL AWARD (Technical Achievement Award) To JAN JACOBSEN for the application of a dual screen, front projection system to motion picture special effects photography."

Searching the database for the name "deMille" shows only nominations and wins for Cecil B. deMille back in the 1950s.

So, no Academy Award was ever given to anyone by the name "Kaz deMille", "Kaz Jacobsen," "Kaz deMille Jacobsen," or "Kaz Jacobsen deMille."

Searching For Academy Awards By Production Company Name(s):

Searches for any production companies with "Jacobsen" in their name finds no entries.

Searches for any production companies with "deMille" in their name only finds one entry, Cecil B. deMille Productions for 1950's Samson and Delilah. Kaz would only have been three years old at the time.

Searches for any production companies with "Torch Entertainment" in their name finds no entries.

Searches for any production companies with "World Entertainment" in their name finds no entries.

So, no Academy Award was ever given to any production company with any of the names she has mentioned.

There are other web sites with lists of Academy Award winners, though none of them as extensive as this one. Even so, I have looked on several such sites, and never found mention of Kaz, or any of her supposed production companies.

A Film Fan Meets Kaz

Earlier this year, I received an email from a young woman who was soon to meet Kaz face-to-face.

The minister at this young woman's church had announced that Kaz would be speaking there the following weekend. The minister told the congregation a little about Kaz., including the fact that she had won several Academy Awards for films she had produced. Being a film fan, the young woman was very intrigued, and decided to find out just what Academy Award-winning films Kaz had produced.

She was rather puzzled when he could not find her name anywhere on any site which listed Academy Award winners.

Searching the web for her name, she found the StopKaz web site, and was very troubled by what she read here.

She read the evidence on this site, and searched the web for other information, and became convinced that Kaz was a fraud. She told her minister about this web site, and the minister told her "Kaz told me about that web site. It is run by a non-believer. Do not pay any attention to it."

Distressed by this, she asked me what she should do. I told her that she should go ahead and attend Kaz's presentation, and judge for herself whether or not Kaz was a fraud. She did so, and came away even more convinced that Kaz's claims were false.

She emailed me about it, and described a conversation she had with Kaz when she approached her after the presentation was over. Kaz at first expected the young woman to be another fawning admirer, but had a surprise in store. Here is an excerpt from the email:

"I told her I had doubts. She looked surprised. I told her I looked up on the Academy recipients list but I didnt see her name. She said it was because it was her company that won the awards. I asked her the name of her company and she just mumbled something like 'oh we have many subsidiaries and one of them is called Jacobsen company' I asked her what films she produced and she said 'Gladiator and Sleepless in Seattle'!!"

I don't think Kaz is accustomed to someone in a church expressing doubts about her story.

And I think she is even less accustomed to someone in a church not accepting her first answer to a question, and asking for further clarification ("what is the name of the company?").

But now we have the names of two of the films she claims to have produced - Gladiator and Sleepless in Seattle.

Let's take a look and see who really produced these films.

Gladiator

Directed by Ridley Scott and released in 2000, Gladiator won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

But was it produced by Kaz or one of her companies?

Not surprisingly, the answer is: no.

The three production companies for Gladiator were:

• Dreamworks SKG - The "SKG" in the company's name refers to the three owners of the company: Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and David Geffen. The "K" does NOT stand for Kaz.

• Universal Pictures - It would have been difficult for Kaz to have founded Universal, since it has been producing films since 1915, more than thirty years before Kaz was born.

• Scott Free Productions - This is the production company of Ridley Scott, the film's director.

So, not surprisingly, neither Kaz nor her supposed production company produced this film.

Sleepless in Seattle

Directed by Nora Ephron and released in 1993, Sleepless in Seattle did not win any Academy Awards, though it was nominated for two (Best Music, Original Song and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen).

But regardless, was it produced by Kaz or one of her companies?

The answer again is: no.

Sleepless in Seattle was produced by TriStar Pictures, a huge conglomerate which has never been owned by Kaz.

So again, not surprisingly, neither Kaz nor her supposed production company produced this film.

(Note: In the past, Kaz has also claimed to have co-written this film. She did not.)

Summary

In brief:

• She claims to have won several Academy Awards. The evidence shows otherwise.

• She claims to be a film professional, yet doesn't know that an Oscar is the same thing as an Academy Award.

• She claims to have produced the films Gladiator and Sleepless in Seattle. She did not.

My thanks in particular to the young woman who wrote to me about her conversation with Kaz. She was upset that she was unable to convince her ministers to cancel Kaz's appearance at her church. But this one young woman did more to stop Kaz than most, even though there are many who have their doubts. I am proud to know this young woman.

Various: Kaz's Many Homes

The Claim

Another of Kaz many claims in her presentations is that she used to own many luxurious homes all around the world.

The image above is of a slide she sometimes shows in her presentations. The caption reads:

"Prior to September 11th Kaz owned properties in New York, L.A., Spain, Australia, France and London."

It is hard to make out the details in the small image I have of the slide (taken from the streaming video of her appearance at Sydney Full Gospel in January of 2005), but the homes appear to be quite nice.

In front of the West Bowles Community Church in Littleton Colorado on April 18th, 2004, she described the slide as follows:

"These houses are just three of the properties that I had. I had houses in L.A., New York, Australia, Spain, France and London. I had awards. I was worth 27 million dollars. And the Lord said "give it all up. This is what I'm going to ask you to do. I want you to sell everything that you own, and everything that you have, and cash it all in."

On the second day of her appearance at the Sydney Full Gospel Church, she says the following, when explaining that God had told her to sell all her possessions after 9/11:

"I had about five properties… um, one in London, one in the south of France, one in Spain, one in L.A., one in New York, one in Melbourne Australia, one here in Sydney, and a couple of timeshares."

In a presentation she gave to the congregation of Christ Church in Los Angeles in 2003, she says the following:

"I had a house in New York, a house in L.A., a timeshare in Spain, a timeshare in the south of France, an apartment in London… I had… a value at 27 million dollars in investments and… whatever, and he's telling me give it all up?"

In front of the King's Way Community Church in Lomita California, on October 24, 2004, she said the following:

"I personally gave up a wealth of 127 million dollars. You saw some of my homes, I had a home in Los Angeles, I had another one in New York. I actually still have one property. But I sold everything as I was told to sell."

In front of the West Bowles Community Church in Littleton Colorado, she said the following on April 18th, 2004:

"These houses are just three of the properties that I had. I had houses in L.A., New York, Australia, Spain, France and London. I had awards. I was worth 27 million dollars. And the Lord said give it all up. "

So, did she really own homes all over the world?

The Evidence

She gives no evidence of these supposed homes other than some photographs, which are obviously proof of nothing. Anyone can take pictures of someone else's nice home and later claim the photographs are of their own home.

She claims that at least one of the homes was in Los Angeles, and yet I have spoken with several people in the Los Angeles area who say that - even prior to 9/11 - Kaz was frequently looking to stay at other people's homes for extended periods of time. Why would she do this, if she owned a home there?

And I have spoken and corresponded with many people in Australia and the United States who knew Kaz prior to 9/11, and none of them are aware of her owning homes anywhere.

With one exception...

The Reality

People who knew her in Australia prior to her coming to the USA in 1990 have told me that as far as they know, the only place she owned back then is a small house (one of these people described it as "a run-down shack") outside of Melbourne.

Here are pictures of that home, which is where she is living as of this writing (November, 2005):

She bought this home prior to her moving to the USA in 1990.

It does not appear to be the home of someone who was worth millions of dollars.

And, since she still owns it, what happened to her instructions from God to sell everything she owned after 9/11?

Summary

So, in brief:

• She claims to have owned properties all over the world. There is no proof of this.

• She claims to have been wealthy prior to 9/11. The one house we know she did own back then does not suggest wealth.

• She claims that she sold all of her property after 9/11, per instructions from God. She did not sell her home in Melbourne.

Once again, she makes a claim with no supporting evidence, and what evidence can be found suggests her claim to be a fantasy.

Email: From Kaz Supporters

When I first created the StopKaz web site, I wondered how much email from Kaz supporters I would get.

So far, the answer has been: very little. Is this because she has few supporters? Or because her supporters don't want to contact me? Or some other reason? Hard to say.

All I know is that in the more than a year since the site has been up, I have received email from only three such people.

In a recent email, one of these three people said, regarding the StopKaz web site:

"And I must say, it is a very biased website as you have not made any mention of the GOOD emails you have received about Kaz! A good website in this instance should mention points of view from both sides of the proverbial fence. That way, people are better able to make up their OWN minds!"

So, here then are the initial emails I received from each of these three people, along with my replies.

I will let our correspondence speak for itself, only inserting the occasional comment. Certain information (such as names and email addresses) has been removed. Where I have done this, I have replaced the removed text with text [italicized and in brackets].

Kaz Supporter #1: The Former Roommate

The first such email I received was from a long-time friend of Kaz. At some point in time, they had at one time been roommates (or "flatmates," as they say in Australia).

Here is that email:

I have known Kaz for at least FIFTEEN YEARS and shared a residence with her for much of that time during which time I found her to be an extremely HONEST, RELIABLE and TRUSTWORTHY friend of the HIGHEST standing! I was there with her when her talent company started. She has helped SO MANY PEOPLE in SO MANY WAYS without asking for ANYTHING in return! It is so very hurtful to hear such LIES about such a GENEROUS, TOTALLY UNSELFISH humanbeing! As far as myself and many others in the industries in which she is involved (and still held in very high esteem) are concerned your remarks are undeserved, unjustified, unverified and SOOOOO UNTRUE. You have NO IDEA of the PHYSICAL and EMOTIONAL pain that Kaz has been through BEFORE, DURING and AFTER the terrorist attacks of S11!

I considered the possibility that this might have been from Kaz herself, writing under an assumed name, but decided this was unlikely, as the spelling and grammar were much better than in the samples of Kaz's writings I had seen.

And in the long run, it didn't matter whether it was from Kaz or not.

Here is my reply:

I will gladly examine any evidence you would care to share. You say that Kaz had (or has) a talent agency? This is the first I have heard of it. She talks about her production company, and about her foundations, but never about a talent agency, so far as I can remember. What was/is the name of the agency? If I can find any proof that the agency exists or existed, I will post that on the web site. As for the people in the industries in which she was involved who still hold her in the highest esteem - who are they? Have them contact me. Or if they prefer, I can contact them. Because in all the months that my web site has been up, yours is the first email I have received which has said anything positive about Kaz. Again, thank you for writing. I received no reply to this email, though I did hear again from this person months later.

I also never heard from any industry people who held Kaz "in the highest esteem."

What - if anything - they prove, I leave it up to the reader to decide.

Note: It has come to my attention that up until recently my email server was rejecting incoming emails with contents in certain languages (such as Korean) which require special character support to be displayed. So although I have not seen pro-Kaz email from anyone other than these three people, it is possible that others have unsuccessfully attempted to email me.

Email: Kaz Videos Pulled From Sydney Full Gospel Web Site

Back in January of 2005, Kaz spoke at the Sydney Full Gospel church in Sydney, Australia.

Videos were shot of both appearances, and they were subsequently made available for downloading from the church's web site.

In July of 2005, I was notified by a visitor to this site that those videos were no longer available on the church's site. I double checked, and the videos were indeed no longer there.

Were they removed because the church's ministers had finally realized that Kaz was a fraud? Or for some other reason?

I emailed one of the church's parishioners who I had been in contact with earlier in the year, and asked this parishioner to find out what had happened to the videos.

The parishioner reported back that the church's webmaster had said that the videos were no longer there because all videos were removed from the site after a certain amount of time.

This did not make sense. There were videos still out on the church's site that were far older than the Kaz videos. In fact, as of this writing (November 2005) there are still videos on the church's web site from as far back as February of 2004, nearly a year before Kaz spoke there.

I did not press for more details, but it seemed likely that the ministers had asked for the videos to be removed for other reasons.

I heard no more about it until November 6, 2005, when I received the following email from another Sydney Full Gospel parishioner:

The reason for this email is to inform you in refrence to your 'source' section of the website where you have put a link to our churches website. The link to the stream videos which you have mentioned is no longer available as our church in thier late realistations of Kaz's falsity have deleted any videos on the sites video archive. Thats all i have to say...best of luck and God bless you ^^

I sent the following reply:

But i believe that even the strongest of christians (as we are only human) will sometimes fall to the powers of satan. i don't know about you Mr. Lancaster but i am a strong believer of a spiritual realm and i believe that satan sometimes works through people (i.e Kaz Jacobsen) and even though my seniour pastor is a spiritual person who would be able to catch out the falsity of someone in a second i believe the devils influence may have been strong in disallowing him to title Kaz Jacobsen as a fraud. thank you for your hasty reply and best of luck in your pursuit to stop kaz...God Bless^^

So, did the ministers decide that Kaz was a fraud? I hope so.

Email: Kaz's Former Roommate Demands My Identification

A few weeks ago, after months of silence from Kaz's former roommate, I received the first of a series of emails from her.

I thought that the resulting correspondnce, and my eventual thoughts about the motivation behind it, were worth posting here.

Personally, I won't be contributing to a website run by someone who is not prepared to fully identify him/herself. And everyone else out there has a right to know EXACTLY who this Mr Lancaster is who they are dealing with! Or do you have something to hide??

And that purpose is to expose her lies, particularly her lies about September 11, 2001. As I have told you before, I am always open to any evidence you have that Kaz is telling the truth. But in all that time, the only people who have emailed me in support of Kaz are you, [another person known to this woman], and a Korean lady whose name I forget. In the same amount of time, I've received email from over a hundred people condemning Kaz., and thanking me for exposing her lies. Is the web site "biased"? Sure it is. It is biased towards the truth, which of course makes it biased against just about everything Kaz says. If I had found any evidence that she had been anywhere near New York on 9/11, it would be on the site. But I have received no such evidence, since she was 3,000 miles away, in southern California on that day. In the past week, I have been in communication with two people who consider Kaz a friend. They were both unaware that Kaz was claiming to be in the World Trade Center on 9/11, and were both horrified to hear about it, because both of them know for a fact she was not there. This continued for several more emails. I had no idea what the motivation was behind all of this nonsense, but I would soon find out.

Several days after this exchange, I received some information from another correspondent in Australia, in which the correspondent related what another person had heard Kaz say:

"She said the first stages of legal action had taken place against you - you are really not Robert Lancaster but really a guy named David - Robert Lancaster is just a fictitious name David hides behind and stuff like that."

After I stopped laughing, I phoned my mother. Our conversation went something like the following:

"Mom, Kaz has found out something about me, and I thought I should tell you before you hear it from someone else." "Oh Lord, what is that woman saying now?" "My name isn't really Robert Lancaster." " I was hoping you would never find that out!"

My mom can be pretty funny sometimes...

I asked the correspondent for the email address of the person who had actually heard Kaz say this first-hand.

I emailed this first-hand witness, asking for more detail (such as, did this "David" have a last name?)

I received the following reply:

Dear Robert Thank you for your email regarding your so called " real name's " "kaz' did mention "Davids" surname but unfortunatley i cannot recall it as most of what she tells me goes in one ear and out the other . However she also mentioned a "Regie" someone [female] was also involved. And both were being persued by the law and soon to be "indited" !!!!!! I hope this information is of some help Robert Regards, [name]

It occurred to me that this explained why the former roommate was pressing me for identification, and saying thatI may not even BE Robert Lancaster! Kaz had evidently been telling her this nonsense, and, believing it, the former roommate thought she really had something on me.

I sent the following email to the formeer roommate:

My girlfriend and I got a pretty good laugh out of it, but then it hit me: THAT is probably why you have been saying "How do I know you really are Robert Lancaster"! Kaz must have told you all this, and, being a good friend, you believed her. Well Ms. [name], as far as I know, no legal actions have been started against me by Kaz, or by anyone representing her. Either it is simply another one of her lies/delusions, or she has the world's slowest attorneys. Or perhaps these things take time. My guess would be the lies/delusion thing. Here is another guess: ever since the StopKaz site has gone up, she has had to tell people that the site is a pack of horrible, awful lies (it's either that or admit that she is a con artist). So people have been asking "If the site is all lies, why don't you sue him for libel?" At first (so I have been told) she would say that suing me "wasn't the Christian thing to do." But (and again, I'm guessing here) that excuse has worn thin, so now she has decided to claim that "legal action has been started." From what I have been told, she has been saying that for months now, and I have yet to hear a peep out of her or her attorneys. As for #2: Robert S. Lancaster is my legal name, and has been since birth. You have absolutely no reason to believe that, but I have absolutely no reason to prove it to you either. And once again, I'll point it out: what I say on the web site is true or not, whether I am Robert or Fred or Mary or Sue or Gunga Din. By the way, I know that you are aware that [name] emails me from time to time, so I wanted to make sure you know: it was not [name] who told me about this latest sad attempt on Kaz's part to distract people from the truth. In her response, the former roommate denied that this was why she had been pushing me to show her my passport, etc., but she also stopped asking for my "hundred points of identification."

Various: Kaz's Marriages

Part of the "life story" that Kaz tells when she speaks to congregations is about the two celebrities to whom she claims to have been married.

This article examines those claims.

The Pop Star

The first of these supposed husbands is a man she usually describes simply as a "pop star." His identity she coyly hints at, but does not state (at least not in public, as we shall see).

Here is a quote from her January 8th, 2005 appearance at the Sydney Full Gospel Church:

But lives take a twist along the way. And I married very young. And I married quite a famous pop star. And as he's got me on a gag order, I can't tell you his name, but I'll sorta give you like a little, around the corner thing so you can kinda guess. He… had one name, and he was, um, a singer and an actor. And I thought it was going to be great. I was Cinderella at the ball, marrying this person that every girl in America wanted.

Although she does not state the "pop star's" name when in front of a crowd, I have been told by several people - including my mother - that they have heard Kaz in private claim that her "pop star" husband was none other than Fabian Forte.

And Fabian Forte would match the "hints" she gives above. He is known to his fans simply as "Fabian." He was a singer, with a number of top ten hit records (such as "Turn Me Loose" and "Tiger"), and an actor, appearing in such films as "The Longest Day" and "North to Alaska", and his good looks helped to make him a major teen idol of the late 1950s and early 1960s.

But was he ever married to Kaz?

I emailed Mr. Forte, asking if he had ever been married to a woman by any of Kaz's various names, and received this gracious reply from his wife, Andrea Patrick Forte:

So the answer, not surprisingly is: No, Kaz was never married to Fabian Forte.

The Racecar Driver

Well then, what about her supposed second marriage?

I went on to marry... some years later I married Roberto Andretti, from the famous car-racing family, and I was married to him for 23 years. He was killed in 1989 in Monte Carlo, running tests for Ricardo Andretti, when he was practicing for the World Series Gran Prix.

We have already debunked this claim here, but in short, according to racing legend Mario Andretti:

• There is no Roberto Andretti or Ricardo Andretti in his family.
• There is no other Andretti family in the world of professional racing.
• There were no deaths at Monte Carlo in 1989, and in fact none for more than 30 years.
• Nobody named Ricardo Andretti or Roberto Andretti has ever raced at Monte Carlo.

So it would appear that this marriage - and even "Roberto Andretti" himself - is another figment of Kaz's fertile imagination.

Do the Math

So, she was not married to the "pop star," and the "race car driver" never even existed.

But even if we ignore that for a moment and just look at the years in which she said these marriages took place, it doesn't add up right.

What years does she say these supposed marriages took place? The only specific year she mentions in all of this is the year the second husband supposedly died, so we have to start there and work our way back.

Here again is her quote about the second marriage (emphasis mine):

I went on to marry... some years later I married Roberto Andretti, from the famous car-racing family, and I was married to him for 23 years. He was killed in 1989 in Monte Carlo, running tests for Ricardo Andretti, when he was practicing for the World Series Gran Prix.

This matches what she has said on a number of other occasions: she and the "racecar driver" were married for 23 years, and he died in 1989.

She doesn't specifically state that they were still married when he died, but let's assume they were.

So, let's do the math:

1989	(Year the "race car driver" died)
-23	(Years they were married)
1966	(Year she married the "race car driver")

If they weren't still married when he died, that would mean they got married even earlier. But let's go with 1966.

Note that she says that the second marriage came "some years later" after the end of her first marriage. "Some" can mean any number of years (and in one video I have of her telling her story, she says there were three and a half years between these supposed marriages), but let's assume the minimum it could mean - one year.

Let's do the math:

1966	(Year she married the "race car driver")
-1	(Years between marriages)
1965	(Year the "pop star" marriage ended)

So, when did that first marriage begin? Here again is the quote (emphasis added):

"But along the way, I got married to a famous pop star, who I know some of the ladies here know and thought was a great idol. But after eight years of [various claims of her supposed ill-treatment by the "pop star"], I just couldn't take much more."

She says that after eight years, she "couldn't take much more." This could mean they were married for longer than eight years, but let's again assume the least amount of time, and go with eight years.

Let's do the math:

1965	(Year the "pop star" marriage ended)
-8	(Years she was married to the "pop star")
1957	(Year she married the "pop star")

So, what is strange about that?

As we have seen from her birth certificate, Kaz was born in 1947.

So, according to her own words, she claims she married the "pop star" when she was ten years old!

And, according to the Internet Movie Database page about Fabian Forte, he was born in 1943, making him only 14 years old in 1957.

And remember, we assumed the shortest amount of time wherever she was not specific. So if the first marriage was longer than eight years, or if there was more than one year between the marriages, or if the second marriage ended before the "race car driver" died, that would put the start of the first marriage back even further, when Kaz was nine years old, or eight, or even less!

Doesn't add up, does it?

The Real Ex-husband

So, was Kaz ever married at all?

I had heard - from people Kaz had lived with here in the USA - that she had two sons back in Australia (not the seven or eight children she variously claims), as well as an ex-husband, the sons' father.

Back in May of 2005, I received the following email:

Subject: Dr Kaz formerly Carolann Priest. From: [email address] Date: Mon, May 23, 2005 3:41 pm To: StopKaz@StopKaz.com Robert Lancaster, here are a few more questions for the infamous Dr Kaz. Where in your fantasy world are your now deceased father and mother Collin and Dolly Priest of Christchurch New Zealand? Where in your fantasy world are your two sons [name] (born in Christchurch NZ around 1968) and [name] (born in Ferntree Gully Victoria Australia around 1970)? Where in your fantasy world is your ex husband [name] who divorced you in 1985 after having married you at Darwin N.T. Australia in 1969? Now that you have returned to your run down little shack in Olinda Victoria Australia, what are you going to do about compensating your son [name] who has been living there and paying your mortgage and rate payments since 1990? With your holy roller fantasy are you simply trying to prove something to your father Collin who put you on a pedestal with your considerable roller skating skills and gave you his family name Priest? If so there may be hope for you yet.

I have since confirmed that the name given in this email is indeed Kaz's ex-husband.

Was he a "pop star" or a member of a "car-racing family?"

One Kaz document I have is one she wrote prior to September 11th 2001, in which she tells a different life story than the one she tells today. In this document, she doesn't mention a race-car driver husband, but instead talks about a husband who was a Welshman working for the Forestry Service, who died in 1985.

I have confirmed that her actual ex-husband is a Welshman, and that he did work for the forestry service during their marriage.

But he did not die in 1985. As it says in the above email, he divorced her in 1985. He is still alive today.

Summary

• She claims to have been married to Fabian. She was not.

• She claims to have been married to "Roberto Andretti of the famous car-racing family." According to Mario Andretti, no such person existed.

• The number of years she claims for each marriage does not add up, given her age.

• During most of the years she claims to have been married to "Roberto Andretti," she was in reality married to a man who worked for the Forestry Service.

Given the evidence, her stories of her marriages, like the rest of her claims, appear to be totally false.

Various: Kaz and "A Current Affair"

In mid-2005, a friend of this web site contacted the Australian television show A Current Affair (ACA), urging them to do an investigative piece about Kaz. After reading the information here on the StopKaz site, and speaking with some people directly connected to Kaz, ACA decided to go ahead with the story.

A Correspondence Begins

In September of 2005, I began an email and phone correspondence with members of the ACA staff. I supplied the show with copies of many of the video and audio recordings I have of Kaz, and put them in contact with three people here in the United States who could vouch for the fact that Kaz was not in the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001.

After contacting the witnesses and reviewing the tapes, ACA staff asked if I would be willing to go to their Los Angeles bureau to videotape an interview. I told them I would be more than glad to. Just name the date and time.

Other stories took precedence at ACA for a while, so it was not until toward the end of October 2005 that I heard that the reporter had been able to interview Kaz on the street as she was walking around Melbourne. I was not given specifics about that interview, but I got the distinct impression that she had not impressed the reporter with her story.

ACA Interviews Me

Having gotten as much as they could of her side of the story, they then asked me to come down and tape an interview on October 31, 2005.

The interview took place at the offices of their Los Angeles bureau. It lasted for about an hour, and consisted mostly of basic questions such as "How did you first learn about Kaz?", "Why do people believe her story?" and "Why should she be stopped?" I was nervous, never having been interviewed on camera before, but the cameraman and the interviewer were very professional and relaxed, which helped me to relax as well. Afterwards, they assured me that I had done just fine.

Interestingly, before I had gone down to the studio, I was asked if I could supply the show with proof of my identity. I had no problem with that, and did so, showing my California driver's license to the woman who did the interview, and sending a copy of my US Passport to the reporter back in Australia. Perhaps Kaz had told them that there was no such person as Robert Lancaster (something she has said to others in the past). If so, I hope they got it on tape, as it would be definite proof of her saying things which are demonstrably untrue. Both the driver's license and passport show that Robert Lancaster is indeed my real name.

After my interview, the cameraman told me that the people back in Australia were anxious to air the story. He said he was to send them the interview footage immediately (via satellite, I believe), and that the story would probably be aired by the end of the week.

One of my contacts in Melbourne emailed me afterwards and said that in the days after Kaz was interviewed by the reporter, he (my contact) saw her sitting at a street cafe alone, sobbing. When he and his companion approached her, she told them the same strange story about me: that I do not exist, and that the StopKaz site is really run by two people named David and Reggie, who were just vindictive people "out to get her." It looked to him as though she was panicking over the upcoming ACA story.

On November 3rd, 2005, a promo for the ACA Kaz news story was aired throughout Australia. I have not seen the promo, but have been told that the story it was promoting was titled "Cashing In On 9/11," and was scheduled to run the following night.

A Stunt?

Within hours of the airing of the promo, police and ambulance were called to Kaz's home, and she was subsequently taken to the emergency room at Maroondah Hospital.

What happened? Due to privacy laws, I cannot know for certain. I have heard three different stories:

1. One person who knows her says that she attempted suicide.

2. Other people who know her say that she faked an attempted suicide, in order to get the ACA story pulled.

3. One person tells me that Kaz herself now claims it was due to a "kidney problem."

I have been told that not long after Kaz arrived at Maroondah, a doctor at that hospital contacted ACA, and requested that they not air the story, as it could prove to be "mentally damaging" to Kaz. Would a doctor do that for a patient with "kidney problems?"

If the hospital visit was a stunt designed to get the story pulled, it worked. As of this writing, the story has yet to be aired.

Why? In 1996, ACA aired an expose-style story about a man who subsequently committed suicide. The ensuing criticism of ACA (and similar shows) resulted in these types of shows being particularly careful to avoid similar situations.

I'm told this is fairly common knowledge in Australia. Was Kaz aware of this, and faked a suicide to take advantage of it? I have no way of knowing, but with her past track record, I definitely have an opinion.

Kaz stayed in Maroondah hospital for six weeks, and was released around Christmas of 2005. This was right after ACA had started a month of reruns, and so could not air the Kaz story. I doubt that the timing is a coincidence.

As mentioned above, I've been told that she now tells people that her hospital stay was due to "kidney problems." I also hear that when people ask her about the ACA promo, she tells them that after ACA did more research, they decided that she was telling the truth, and that the StopKaz web site was full of lies.

The emails I have received from ACA staffers say otherwise.

I have been told that the people behind the story would still very much like to see it aired, but people higher up are not letting that happen.

Summary

An old acquaintance of Kaz summed it up in an email to me:

"She [Kaz] knows that the show is not going to risk a lawsuit should Kaz commit suicide after the airing of the show. We know that Kaz would never kill herself because she is too vain and loves herself, but the show does not know her as we know her."

Lucky show.

Email: Kaz and the Friend From Denver

Usually, when Kaz mentions someone other than a celebrity during her presentations, she only gives their first name. Her assistant "Anna" and the young man "Jeff" in her elevator story are good examples of this.

I believe this lack of detail is intentional, in order to make her claims more difficult to examine.

Occasionally she does give a full name, such as when she mentioned the professor discussed here.

Another such instance recently gave me the means to check into yet another piece of the story.

On April 18th, 2004, Kaz gave her presentation before the congregation of the West Bowles Community Church in Littleton, Colorado.

At one point in her presentation, her story has her in the hospital following her "miraculous escape" from the World Trade Center. Doctors are about to remove a piece of metal which lodged in her head, and have told her that she should call her next of kin, because they don't expect her to survive the operation.

Here is a quote from this portion of Kaz's presentation (emphasis mine):

"Two of my sons were Special Forces, already on their way to Afghanistan. My other children are in other countries. All flights were cancelled. There was no way for my kids to get here anyway. So I called my girlfriend [first name] – who comes from Denver, her name's [full name] – and my fiancée at the time, and told them what I wanted to do."

(Side note: I have interviewed several people who knew Kaz during the period of time around September 11, 2001, and none had ever heard Kaz mention a fiancée.)

Kaz seemed to be mentioning this woman - and the fact that the woman was from Denver - as a way of gaining some "home town" connection with the congregation (Littleton Colorado is a suburb of Denver).

So, was this a name that Kaz made up, or did the woman really exist? And, if she did exist, did she know "Kaz?" If she knew Kaz., would she support Kaz's story?

I decided to look into it.

Searching the web for this woman's name resulted in a list of hundreds of web pages, but one page stood out.

The page advertised the tutoring services of a woman who seemed a likely match:

• Her name was the same name Kaz had mentioned.
• She was a music instructor (Kaz likes to make acquaintances in the field of entertainment).
• She had attended college in Denver.
• She lived in a California city where I knew Kaz had lived at one time.

The web page included an email link to contact this woman for musical tutoring services. I composed and sent an email to her:

Subject: Kaz deMille Jacobsen From: StopKaz@StopKaz.com To: [name]<[email address]> Date: Tue, Oct 18, 2005 6:08 pm Ms.[name]: My name is Robert Lancaster. I am writing to ask if you know a woman by the name of "Dr. Kaz deMille Jacobsen". If you don't, I'm sorry to have bothered you, and the rest of this email will probably make little sense to you. I would appreciate your replying that you do not know her, and I won't bother you again. If you DO know her, please read on (and I apologize for how long and rambling this will get). [Here I discuss the StopKaz web site and some of Kaz's claims, show her the Kaz quote where her name is mentioned, and explain how I found her email address.] So my questions for you would be: Do you know this woman, or know of her? If so, did she call you from a New York hospital in the days after September 11, 2001? You may be wondering why I am putting time and energy into this. If I am right about Kaz - and I am very confident that I am - then she taking money from well-intentioned church people with this false story, gaining money and admiration off of the suffering and deaths of all of those who really WERE in the towers on that day. It's wrong, it's awful, and she needs to stop. If you do know Kaz., I would appreciate a reply, even if it is simply to tell me not to contact you again. But anything you might know about her would be greatly appreciated. And again, sorry for the long, strange email. But it's a long, strange story. Thanks for reading it. Sincerely, Robert Lancaster

Two days later I received the following reply (emphasis mine):

Subject: Re: Kaz deMille Jacobsen From: [name]<[email address]> To: StopKaz@StopKaz.com Date: Thu, Oct 20, 2005 6:36 pm Dear Robert, Well, I can't say that this comes as much of a surprise to me. I've always been leery of believing too much of what Kaz claimed. However, she never abused our friendship. At least, not until now. I am the [first name] she speaks about. I grew up in Denver and my family still lives there. At the time of 9/11, I was living in New York City. As a matter of fact, had just moved there the week before. I know Kaz was NOT in the city at that time, because I got an email from her shortly after asking if I was ok. I have my own story of that day and told it to her in detail. It makes my heart sick to think that she is using that horrific day to deceive people out of money. And to use MY name in my own home town. . .! I know the location of that church. I never attended it, but it is just down the street from where I attended college. I am appalled to think that someone there might have recognized my name and therefor given her money. If there is anything at all I can do to help, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, [name]

This illustrates why Kaz usually does not give full names in her presentations.

It makes it easier to prove that she is lying.

Various: "Doctor" Kaz?

One way con-artists and frauds obtain an unearned trust and respect from their victims is by lying about their credentials. For example, it is not difficult to find news stories of people who have exaggerated (or totally fabricated) their education or their military careers. These people know that falsely adding titles such as "Dr." or "Colonel" to their name will open doors for them, and will give them an undeserved respect, through an unearned air of authority.

One of Kaz's many claims is that she has earned a doctorate. She is frequently referred to - in flyers, letters from her attorneys, and other documents - as "Dr. Kaz deMille Jacobsen."

She is often introduced by ministers to their congregation with the title of "Doctor," sometimes simply as "Dr. Kaz."

She also some times refers to herself as "Kaz deMille Jacobsen, PhD," such as in her "testimonial," and her autobiography.

So, has she actually earned a doctorate? If so, where and when was it earned?

This article will examine a few examples of her claim, and look at some of the attempts people have made to find out more about it.

The Claim

Why go to the trouble of documenting this claim?

Because there are times when she seems to back away from it.

Here then are some specific examples of her being referred to as "Doctor."

In her Microsoft Word document "Resume in brief of Kaz Jacobsen-Lavell 2002", she includes the following line:

"B.A.M.A Ph.D. Sociology, behavioral studies, Communications. Performing Arts Social Sciences"

Not only is it poorly and unclearly phrased, she does not give the year she supposedly earned any of these degrees, nor the schools where they were supposedly earned. This seems rather an odd omission from a resume. Of course, the lack of this information would make it impossible for a prospective employer to get confirmation (or denial) of the degrees.

On page 4 of a Microsoft Word document containing her "testimony" ("World Trades [sic] Center and a Miracle or two By K. A. Jacobsen PhD"), she says (emphasis mine):

"I have been an advisor on youth affairs to many different platforms. Worked for the Peace Corp. Had the privilege of serving as a mediator / overseer in India, Asia, Middle East, Namibia and South Africa. I have obtained a BA, Performing Arts / Television and Film. M.A. & PhD (Sociology and Psychology) along the way."

Like most of the documents I have which she is said to have written, this one is riddled with errors in spelling and grammar, such as calling the World Trade Center the "World Trades Center" in the document's title. This does not seem to indicate a high level of education.

Sometimes she is very coy about the claim.

On an audio tape I have of her speaking before the congregation of an unnamed church, she at first seems to hint that she does not have an actual PhD, but then immediately strongly implies that she does:

"This is not about who's got a PhD. This is not about… do you know what my PhD stands for? Praise and Honor and Dedication to Jesus. And that's all it's worth. I did all the academic thing because I had to. Because I was looking after young people, and I didn't want the system to turn around and say I wasn't qualified to counsel. That's the only reason I did it."

On the Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson's internet radio show, September 02, 2004, the Reverend Peterson refers to her as "Dr." several times throughout the interview, including here when he introduces her:

JLP: I have with me someone who was in the first tower building that went down at the World Trade Center. Her name is Dr. Kaz... Jacobsen. Dr. Kaz is with me, and she was in the first building. She was working there when the building… when the first building went down at the World Trade Center. Dr. Kaz, thanks so much for coming in. Kaz: You’re welcome, my pleasure. Hi, listeners.

Evidently the Reverend Peterson was under the impression that she had earned a doctorate, and Kaz does nothing to correct him.

So, she definitely makes the claim, even though she at times has seemed to make an effort to distance herself from it.

But does she actually have a doctorate?

Looking Into It

Again, without her ever stating when and where this degree was supposedly earned, proving it one way or the other is difficult. But here are some things I have been told over the course of my looking into Kaz and her story:

I have communicated with people who have known Kaz since she was in her 20s, and none of them know of her receiving any college education at all.

---

I have spoken with one woman who was part of a bible study group which Kaz also attended several times.

This woman told me that she doubted Kaz's 9/11 story from the start, and frequently asked Kaz questions in hopes of "getting to the bottom of it."

On several occasions she asked Kaz where she had earned her doctorate, but Kaz would avoid answering. Finally, Kaz told this woman that she (Kaz) didn't really have a doctorate, but that a professor had once told her that she "deserved one."

The Questions page on this web site suggests several questions a person might ask Kaz, if they ever have the opportunity. One of these questions is Where and when did you earn the title "Doctor?"

One visitor to this site had an opportunity to ask some of these questions when Kaz appeared at her church. She (the visitor to this site) wrote to tell me about it.

Here is an excerpt from that email (emphasis mine):

"...I took out the questions that I printed out from your site. But then she said she would not answer any questions that come from Lancastor's site! She went on about your site and how she can sue you for defamation but she doesnt (because of love of Jesus etc) She quoted a verse which I was going to quote myself. 'Watch out for false prophets' (Matthew 7:15). I kept asking her questions and slowly she realised that I wasnt a poor confused girl but I was a sceptic of hers. After seeing that I would not easily be convinced by her bible quotes and endless excuses, she said coldy 'If you have made up your mind already, I am not going to speak to you' She was cleary angry and she rose up to leave. ...But I insisted to ask her one more question. I said ' Where did you get your Doctrate? Just tell me where you got it and prove this guy wrong. Then I will believe!' She saw me looking down at the printouts and said 'It's from that website again. I refuse to answer that question.'"

If she really has a doctorate, why would she refuse to answer that simple question?

One of the few times I have learned of a Kaz appearance before the fact was in November of 2004, when I found a web page advertising a Christian conference in Henderson, Nevada. Kaz was to be a keynote speaker.

I emailed the minister who had put the conference together, expressing my concerns and doubts about Kaz and her story, and sending him a link to this web site.

Several days later, having received no reply from the minister, I phoned him. In the conversation, the reverend told me that he had read my email, and had subsequently spoken to "Kaz" about it.

He said that she had answers to all of the questions on this site's Questions page, but that the answers "were of a nature that couldn't be said in public."

I said "She can't even say in public where she got her doctorate?"

He replied that no, she could not. I did not press him for details.

As mentioned above, another thing which makes her "PhD" claim hard to believe is the quality of her writing. Reading this email or this "Testimony" written by her, it is difficult to believe they were written by someone with an advanced degree.

One visitor to the web site, after reading some of the documents here which were written by Kaz herself, had the following to say:

I don't have any information for you, but I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of this woman. She is clearly a fraud. I have a doctorate myself, and I can say without hesitation that this woman is not PhD material. She can't compose a coherent, proper English sentence. I know fifth graders who write more properly than she does.

Supporters of Kaz could try to justify her poor writing skills as being a result of her supposed 9/11 injuries. She claims there was an 18-inch piece of steel stuck in her head - wouldn't that have an effect on her writing abilities?

One problem with that theory is that her "autobiography," written prior to September 11th, 2001, is written just as poorly.

Another visitor to the site - a lawyer with a doctorate in psychology - was similarly unimpressed by Kaz's writing. After discussing that, he said the following:

If Kaz had a real doctorate, of course, she could tell you in an instant where and when she got it, and in what discipline, and moreover would be happy to do so. She could show you a real diploma, and your inquiry to the school would confirm her claim. Also, she would know that you do not sign as "Dr. Kaz deMille Jacobsen," but as "Kaz deMille Jacobsen, Ph.D." (Or maybe she's an M.D., or D.D., or Ed.D.--she touts herself as an educator, after all.) She must be a phony. Wonder if she even bothered to get a fake diploma on the internet, or if she just uses "Dr." because she likes the sound of it.

I have never heard from anyone who has said that Kaz has shown them a diploma, real or fake, so my guess is that she just likes the sound of it.

Another (Real) PhD Weighs In

Another visitor to the site - a professor at Purdue University who also holds a legitimate PhD, recently wrote to me about checking into Kaz's PhD claim:

When I wonder about the legitimacy of any PhD, I always check the Dissertation Abstracts service. You can find lots of interesting things there, including, for example, the titles of PhD theses by folks like Billy Graham, Bill Cosby, and even Laura Schlessinger. Martin Luther King's thesis is listed (Boston University Graduate School, 1955), which is important because it shows that even Reverend-Dr PhD's show up there. Any PhD thesis from a legitimate institution will be deposited at the Dissertation Abstracts (mine is, Kent Hovind's, alas, is not)

So, without knowing the university where a person's doctorate was earned, or even the year in which it was earned, it is evidently possible to search a database of doctoral dissertations by that person's name, to determine whether or not they really deserve the title "Doctor".

The professor wrote again after doing just such a search:

To follow up on my email yesterday, I did a quick search this morning at Dissertation Abstracts to see if I could find anything for anyone named DeMille. Below are the results I got of female authors named DeMille who have legitimate PhD theses. The names include Dianne Lynne [DeMille] Mellissa Marie Curie [DeMille] Janet [DeMille] Bel-Michele [DeMille] Barbara Munn [DeMille] None seem to be Kaz. Therefore, if she has a PhD, she did not obtain it using the name DeMille in any way, shape, or form (first, last, middle) We will need to consider alternate names, however.

A few days later, the professor wrote again. More searches (under other names Kaz has gone by) also came up blank. The email ended with this (emphasis mine):

It means that she does not have a legitimate PhD from in the US. Could be illegitimate, could be foreign (can't discount that possibility)

In Conclusion

Does all of this prove conclusively that Kaz never earned a doctorate?

No. It is possible that she has received one from a disreputable university (a "diploma mill"), or from a legitimate university from a country which does not supply information to the doctoral thesis database which the Purdue professor searched.

But if so...

Why does Kaz refuse to name the university?

Why does she have such poor writing skills?

Why do people who have known her for decades know nothing of any college she attended?

It seems far more likely that this "doctorate", as so many of her claims, is total fiction.

Email: Where Kaz Actually Was on the Night of September 11th, 2001

We have already learned that Kaz was actually in San Diego County, California, on the day of September 11th, 2001, three thousand miles away from where she claims to have been: the World Trade Center in New York.

I have recently obtained further confirmation from multiple witnesses who place her in Sand Diego County that evening, which is when she now claims to have been in a New York hospital.

An Email

On April 30th, 2006, I received the following email from a gentleman in the San Diego area (emphasis mine):

Subject: Kaz DeMille From: xxxxx@xxxxx.com Date: Sun, Apr 30, 2006 10:39 pm To: StopKaz@StopKaz.com On the eve[ning] of September 11 2001 Our church pastor gave a prayer meeting concerning the victims of the attack. Kaz Demille was there. She continued to meet with my wife and other ladies in this prayer group. This was in San Diego California. The name of our church ,at that time, was North Star Community Church it has since been renamed Christ community Church meeting at Miramar community college.

Here is my reply:

I've been told that Kaz is getting ready to speak at more churches about her supposed 9/11 experience, so it is wonderful that I now have further information to refute her claims. I have a few questions for you. If you'd rather not answer them, that is fine. I'm grateful for the information you've already provided. But I'll ask the questions, in case your are of a mind to answer them. Was the prayer meeting on 9/11/2001 the first time Kaz had attended your church, or had she been a member prior to that? Are others in your church aware of the story Kaz is now telling about her being in the World Trade Center on that day? Is your pastor aware of it? The gentleman's wife responded:

She came every Sunday. Until she left town. The Pastor can fill in those blanks. We already e-mailed him and told him what was happening, so do not worry about mentioning anything to him he has a really great relationship with everyone. As to how I heard about your website it was a lady in our church who an elder . She asked me if I had heard from Kaz .And told me to check the site. I had not thought of Kaz for a long time. But this Lady is well respected in our church and does not gossip so I went home and looked you up. Well I hope that answers all you questions.Oh yes you can use ourthe letter. And may God Bless you in your endeavers to bring the truth out. My name is [name], and my husbunds name is [name]

The Pastor

I found the web site for Christ Community Church, and emailed the church's Senior Pastor. I later followed that up by leaving a phone message.

The Pastor was kind enough to return my call, and we spoke at some length about Kaz and her time at Christ Community Church.

He confirmed that Kaz had indeed attended Christ Community Church off and on for some time, but had not been there in a few years. He agreed that she definitely was there during the evening prayer service on September 11th, 2001.

He said that while attending the church, she had been known to make some of the non-9/11 claims mentioned here on the site (claiming to be related to Cecil B. DeMille, being fabulously wealthy, etc.)

He said that one story she told frequently was that she had recently been driven out of Hollywood for threatening to expose a "ring of pedophiles" consisting of members of the Hollywood elite, such as directors, agents and producers. She said that threats had been made on her life, and even the Hollywood Police Department was instrumental in "hushing it up" and driving her out of town. (I have seen only one other mention of this particular story of hers - she briefly notes it on the final page of her "autobiography".)

It would appear that few people believed this story, and she soon dropped it and replaced it with her World Trade Center nonsense. But she could not tell her 9/11 story at Christ Community Church, since they knew for a fact that she was in Southern California that evening, rather than being in a New York hospital, as she now claims.

The Pastor told me that he asked Kaz to stop telling these stories, as they were inconsistent, made little sense, and were offered without any evidence. He further said that she mostly avoided him after that (This seems to be standard behavior for Kaz: if someone points out problems with her stories, she avoids them).

The Pastor also said that he will confirm this to anyone who contacts him at the church's office.

Conclusion

According to Kaz's story, she was in a New York Hospital that night, but multiple witnesses - including a minister - place her in a church in southern California instead.

How would she explain this? All air traffic was shut down in the United States at the time, so there is no way she could have gotten from New York's World Trade Center that morning to a church in Southern California that night.

And even if air traffic had been allowed, it seems unlikely she would have made it through an airport metal detector with the 18-inch piece of steel she claims was sticking out of her head at the time.

Yet one more reason - with several eyewitnesses to back it up - that her 9/11 story cannot be true.
